They should have let it go a long time ago, and really, they never should have had it to start with. Its just childish and makes them look kind of stupid. Did they write "Stevie is a big doodie head!" on their Trapper Keepers and write mean things about him on the stall in the boys' john, too? Good god.
Yeah, but consider the source. I'm not going to stand here and pretend I'm above such ridicule...but I don't depend on a fan base to put food on my table.
I thought the nomota moniker was funny when I first heard it...but that was when no one knew what it meant. I remember remarking to the person that explained it to me, that as soon as it became public knowledge what Nomota stood for, there would be fans that would not take kindly to it.
Regardless, I think a great number of things would need to be worked out...the least of which is the name of Journey's management company. If the name of the company was the only stumbling block, there'd have been a reunion by now. I really think there's some seriously dysfunctional shit between Neal, Cain and Perry.....the name 'nomota' is just not as significant as the other shit....
Neal needs to work out his napoleonic issues before he can have a truly healthy relationship with a band member...that's not going to happen until Neal boots Arnel and works out the issues on his own....and if he boots out Arnel, people will immediately start publishing photo's like this:
So really, Neal's in a conundrum that isn't going to sort itself out very easily....
I personally think that Steve will never reunite with Journey. I just dont see it happening at all....too much deep seeded bad shite to shovel out of the basement before it happens....and Neal has never been one for cleaning up his own messes (and I'm not sure Steve is either). Friga's no better...
Haha, corrected my syntax error.
Interesting insight, SG. Didn’t SP have a hand in hiring the Asoff Management team (when they consummated the TBF reunion)? I mean, I have always found this ironic. On one hand, SP is criticized for underhandedly “firing” HH and “shoving” IA down the throats of his bandmates. Yet, even with Steve out of the picture, we didn’t see Journey running back to Herbie, did we? The relationship with Irving Asoff is still current to this very day. I guess SP is not that dumb after all.
