They need to research this more. I got the flu shot one time...and spent Christmas day in the E.R. hoping I'd die. That's how much pain I was in. Never again. Fuck those things. I'm ashamed I got one. Any man between 10 and 70 that gets one needs his balls removed with rusty fish hooks.

I got sick from maybe the Hepatitis vaccine 5 years ago when I ahd to get vaccinated before going to college. I was 100% fine before the shot, I drove to Toledo to visit my grandmother before I was leaving, by the time I got there, I was flush red, eyes totally bloodshot, 103 fever, nauseous, exhausted... yeah, some "side effect" :roll:

Who really knows wtf they put in that shit. I don't doubt Lebron's story. Think it's a coincidence they all had to get a shot and they all came down with something?

One more thing to add---they are recommending this for pregnant women? The very same women they tell NOT to so much as take a Tylenol? :shock:

Add to that the fact that it's already on the books that everybody, from the little person who gave the vaccine, all the way on up to the Pharma companies, are exempt from any liability for anything caused by this untested, unsafe vaccine. That alone should speak volumes.

You CAN NOT get the flu from a flu shot!!! It is IMPOSSIBLE!! It is a KILLED virus filled with dead PARTS of virus. Just enough to give your body an immune response to make antibodies. Can you have a side effect?? Can this immune response make you feel weird? Possibly though rare. Can it give you FULL BLOWN flu as Dr. Lebron has described????? NO WAY!!!!!!

There are rare cases where children have gotten polio from the old oral polio vaccine they stopped using. It was a LIVE oral virus!!! The flu SHOT is never ever ever live!!!!!

Tylenol is fine to take in pregnancy......

Also, I will join SPH in her quest to reassure everyone that you CANNOT get the flu from the vaccine...and for the gazllionth time, I'll say....get the info, accurate info from reliable sources and make your decision.......

As for my own personal choice...I did not get the H1N1 vaccine or the flu shot this year....although I personally feel that the vaccine itself is safe, I just don't feel it's necessary and the H1N1 vaccine is about a month too late now. Yes, there is a lot of media hype so be careful where you get your info, then make an informed choice. Also, just as a side note...in order to diagnose H1N1, a blood test needs to be done and the cost is $400 and it takes 7 days to get the results...the H1N1 flu is very closely related to influenza A so in most cases of "H1N1", the patients have been diagnosed with influenza A and because of the close relation, they are by default being diagnosed with H1N1 but due to the cost...and the fact that the test is relatively unnecessary, most people that have been diagnosed with H1N1 have not actually even had the test done.

So one last time....make an informed decision!!!!!!!!

Our local media circus announced on Friday (yesterday) that 11 MORE deaths have occured in children recently. Interesting how the article doesn't give any specifics such as locations.

I'm calling this BS and a scare tactic, until I see more specifics.

I get the flu shot every year. I just took my daughter today to get the shot.

I was debating about the H1N1 vaccine but after talking to the Ifectious Disease MD at the hospital I worked at, I am going to get it for both of us.

H1N! from what I understand is a mutated virus. So I do not want to take any chances and it iIS killing people. And an unusal number of young people.

But I go back to what I have been complaining about for years. If people didn't take their kids....or themselves....to the MD for antibiotics everytime they have a runny nose then we wouldn't have these super bugs that are resistant to antibiotics. There needs to be much stricter regulation of antibiotic prescriptions!!

And thank you, this is a perfect example of what I'm saying...we both got the information from reliable sources and both made our choice...both different choices and that's OK.

AND, you make a good point about the antibiotics....we have patients that come in and get upset that we won't give them antibiotics when they have the flu.......the FLU (all types) is a virus and antibiotics are not used for viruses, antibiotics are for bacterial infections.... :roll:

I got one at the request of my wife back in the winter of 2004-2005. I spent that entire fucking winter with a fucking cold. That's the truth of it. Within one week of getting that motherfucking shot, till mid april, I fought sinus congestion, a hacking cough and headaches.

While some may claim that you can't get the flu from a flu shot, the fact remains that your body has to fight the virus injected into your body and develop anti-bodies ....just like it would if you got the flu outright.

Had I had my druthers, I would have rather have had to fight the flu for 1 week in november of 2004, than have to fight it for a fucking 4 month period.

That was the first and last time I ever got a flu shot.....

Flu shots are dumb. They are collectively killing our ability to fight this virus the old fashioned way...and at the same time contributing to increasingly serious strains of the virus.

You could do alot worse than NOT getting these fucking things injected into your body...

True, you can't get the swine flu from a shot, because it is made with a killed virus, but they have also been giving a nasal mist with an ATTENUATED virus. I'm sure as hell not getting that one!
