Good to see you still have that "thick skin" you talked about in one of your last interviews.

A-fucking-men. Now we know where the crazed fans get the defend-to-the-death mentality. There appears to be no middle ground. If you say it's the best album in the history or potential future of the world, you're fine. But call in the dogs because all bets are off if someone says something remotely critical. Yeah, that's normal for a well-respected musician.

And on that note... Jeff dissappears for another 6 months.

His poor fans sit on his site (and here) fawning and drooling over his every move and posting daily, weekly, monthly and no comment, no acknowledgment, and who gets Jeff's attention? Saint John.     Life ain't fair.

That's cuz Dan works for me, I told you already :) Havent been in here a while, I got a PM about this topic so I chimed in just enough to chime out....you guys continue, have fun, I'll be downstairs when I can, be nice to each other!!

And I hope you're not payin Dan much, he's not worth 2 cents

Do you mean like Journey's current singer who would go into the shout-box and literally cry to his fans because the big bad loons were picking on his diction issues or posting bad reviews about his performances?

Arnel never complains. His fans get on there telling him things. He is always comes back positive and takes that tact. Many times on his site some used to criticize him re certain things in threads, and he never came on and deleted their comments nor told them they shouldn't feel that way.

Dude, having lived in the Philippines and being married to a Filipina, I can tell you that they're like everyone else. There are those that will be smiling and praising you on one hand and plotting to break into your house and kill your dog on the other. They're just better at doing it behind you're back as they don't like being confrontational, less they get an ass-kicking. I've been all around this world and every where it's the same. From a outsider's point of view, we tend to always see the good in people (especially when it's a new experience for us) from different countries but once you peel away a few layers of skin, the same jealousies, petty hatreds, greed and idiocy exist in all cultures.

Oh, no doubt, they are sneaky as fuck... one of my best friends and my keyboard player in my old band is Filipino, great guy, but he's hyper-deferential to people a lot of the time and I know what he's really thinking, he just doesn't man up or get in your face about it as much. I blast him all the time for it... that and the fact that he gets hammered off 3 beers

Both of you fuckers are stupid fucks. I'd have about $50,000 extra if I got drunk off of 3 beers. I pray to God that my tolerance gets like that!

I've pondered that before... and I've concluded it just wouldn't be as fun as slugging down 20 beers and two bottles of Goose in a single night between four people. The fun is worth the $. Tolerance for the win.

I can attest that your good for at least 6 pints and three carbombs, and still look completely sober. They need to make some kind of taxbreak for people like you, or perhaps let you get a stimulus package sent over from Ireland.

Hey Dan! Hope you are having a good day! You are! Great! Now, Dan you’re good looking, you’re tall and you’ve got a hairy ass…I saw the pix, shave that bitch you punk!

Seriously, I don’t think I am one of those who trashes Journey, I just make stupid videos about poor Perry. You know that, right? Okay, first, I enjoy the repartee you and the artists have here, it is entertaining. But, I have no idea if you are writing each other for fun, or for the amusement of people online here. If you are being serious then I have to defend myself as an alleged “ball massager,” of the artists whose work I enjoy.

Second, and I know you know this, there are lots of variables to an artists’ business reasoning, I am learning about that every day. I think supply and demand play a huge part. I also think artists who enjoy what they do rather than do what is expected of them, have to go where the work is. It is frustrating watching American artists not perform in their own country and be embraced in the bosom of their fans, but, people have bills to pay and lives to live and some of us respect that.

Last, just because some of us do not critique artists’ work does not mean we merely massage their balls, we have opinions. My thing is, an artists’ job is done, record is pressed, it is bought and paid for and I listen to it. Some songs I like, others I don’t, so what? I am not knocking how you respond to artists, but in my big-brown- tits- that-fracture- my- toes- every time-I-take- off- my- bra opinion, whether or not artists can tour or not tour or play the music you want to hear, hey things do not always work out the way anyone wants. My thing is, as long as the artist is working and happy, good for them. I am a frustrated writer trying to get any gig I can at MY AGE, it is hard as hell!

I don't in any way, shape or form consider you one of the ball massagers, Lorrie. I threw that out there for a select few (who are good people save one really fucked up bitch). Soto is like Augeri in that they're very talented singers/artists who simply don't have the ability to draw more than a 100 or so people as solo artists. That doesn't take away from their talents, but it's a fair assessment and one that I was blasted for a few years ago, even though time and a tour proved me very accurate. People are allowed to say what they want, but I have never seen 1/100th of the abuse thrown Soto's way that Arnel or even Perry have endured. In fact, I have never seen any abuse hurled Soto's way yet some of his fans have gone Ronald DeFeo over tough questions/slight criticisms. I have never uttered a poor word about Soto and yet I'm labeled as a basher. I've done nothing more than ask tough questions and post my opinions about the guy, his career and his talents. And that's nothing that hasn't been done in an exponentially nastier fashion to Perry and especially Pineda. I'll continue to be the same poster as long as I'm allowed here.

PS You better not ever post that picture of me!!!

I'm just messing with you man. I don't know if you even remember, but I was in Frontiers and met you and Neal backstage with Jeremey when you played here in Columbia SC. THAT was an awesome show! :D

Re: "If I Fall"

Not just the guitar. This, like The Storm and Giuffria is Perryesque.

What it shows (and maybe its the intention?) is had the Jboyzz continued with Soto, it could've been a stellar next few albums.

This is a great tune btw. Headed for current fave as we speak.

I like W.E.T. and have said as much more than once. My critique was a legitimate one. Why are you not touring in support of what many, including yourself (I think you said that), believe to be your best total body of work? Did the TSO thing suddenly pop up and you simply can't pass it up, could you not delay the release of the album, is there too much technical wizardry on the album to pull off live? Why would you release your best work and not promote it? I could sit back here and massage your balls like everyone else and tell you you're the greatest thing since the pocket pussy, but I'd like to think that my questions and critiques will help you a lot more than a bunch of zealots that don't ask tough questions.

MBPL

Just home.

Hey, f**king with you, Dan, you dink! I may not massage balls, but I certainly bust them from time to time!

Well, I don't have the pix, but don't be silly, I would never post that!

Oh, I had no idea about Pineda bashing and such. Give me a minute to catch up with this forum stuff. Still, who cares about "bashing"? Like you stated people are entitled to their opinions, so what. People bring different things out in people, I guess. I mean, Perry fans tend to be defensive and protect of the little guy, yet he barely acknowledges them. I thought surely they would jump down my throat for those videos. Boy, was I pleased to know they actually think I'm funny. I think it's cool that some artists acknowledge their fans to a point, criticism or not. Some artists can handle it, but me? That's not mny style. I don't know, wait...my f**cking desktop is on it's last legs. I will switch to my laptop. Back in a second, this damned keyboard is sticking and shit! Argh!
