The power of Muzak. The play every radio release off of of ROR and Street Talk every day in the supermarkets. Maybe it's a cheaper rate for them to play the non A-titles.

True. Heard Never Walk Away at Walgreens and the big surprise although it was a while ago was All The Way at Carson's (same as Dillards).

They've done a helluva lot more than "mr. sitonmyass" in the past 14 years.
Just sayin'...

Touring the same set list year after year? Impressive.

They both put out the same number of hits though haven't they? It ook Journey 3 1/2 albums to equal the output of hits Perry had, who sat on his ass; 0.

According to this source- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Journey_discography
Revelation did pretty well. Very few bands are selling the numbers that ANY band did in the 80s. It's a different time and people don't buy albums like they did, radio is in the dumper, but I guess that can be spun how ya like.

The fact is, Journey has toured the world several times over, including many places that Perry wouldn't go, produced albums in the studio, had tv exposure (sometimes to their detriment) and has continued working and creating music. I'm thankful for that. Gihugic sales or not, they've been active. Steve Perry? Not so much... The guy's wasted his talent. Hopefully he'll release something soon. But, hey, what's another 14 years of waiting?
The FACT IS- Perry without Cain and Schon is pretty irrelevant. I love the guy, but what a waste. At least Schon and Co are still working. As for their set list, they shook it up pretty good on the last tour and they also played a lot of their newer stuff, which is good stuff. Can't say that Perry's even stepped on a stage in a much longer time than 14 years.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

I used to use a Sirius radio but when my receiver broke, I never renewed my subscription. Despite all the new vehicles coming equipped with Satellite and HD, terrestrial radio still accounts for 93 percent of the listening being done through non personal media. It's obvious that despite the perception that is out there, FM isn't quite the dead format that people make it out to be. Like using torrents, once you get something for free , you are loathe to have to start paying for it.

Same here, heard 3 Revelation cuts in stores and not the redone ones.
People knock this a bit, but Herbie did the same thing with the Early Perry Journey stuff. Got it into stores.
It's funny, I hear VH's Ain't Talking Bout Love in stores now.... dang!

I'm not interested in seeing this documentary. I already know as much about AP as I need to know. Plus if I ever want to see a real documentary about AP, I simply pop in a home movie that I shot of him singing Bohemian Rapsody that I video taped during his live performance which has been mentioned as one of his singing career's milestones in Japan. Now that's the one and only real documentary I truly love to watch! Lambert?   has nothing on AP.
I've never eaten a piece of sushi I didn't thoroughly enjoy.

Why would he want to? People actually know who Adam Lambert is. You aren't going to see twitters referring to him as some little Asian/Mexican guy who sounds like Steve Perry.

Why don't you upload your home movies of Arnel? Let's see what you got. The plokkers would certainly love it.

Bry...to you yes he does...and I am sure that he has many fans....even before this gig.

but please understand for some of us he does not.....it's not a slam....it's just the way someone feels
when they hear the songs that they love sung by someone who does not move them...it's just not the
same it never will be.

I think that I understand your points....just understand ours.

I definitely think he sings with soul. Steve Perry delivery and soul? No. But Arnel has plenty of soul and emotion when singing IMO.

Noone can sing Perry's lead w/the amount of soul necessary to take me away!!
Perhaps it's because AP didn't live those songs, I don't feel the depth and the emotion
the soooooooouull!!! No, No...I do not!!
Arnel is a great singer and he seems like a great guy, but you cannot tell me what
I do and do not feel when I listen to a song!! Now, as far as Arnel sounding like Perry, all
it takes is a set of ears that heard these songs sung live by both arteests and the
answer is NO!! AP does a good job, though!! ...
I mostly attend the shows to listen to the incredible geetar player!!

There's a reason people like Lefsetz can tell Azoff straight to his face that Journey needs to have a reunion, and not even acknowledge the current singer, Pineda in his article. In his and other critics minds, there's only one singer who will forever be associated with Journey and that's Perry.
With the exception of Rolie, the band's other singers might as well wear T-Shirts from Apple-One. That's how much respect they have earned from the powers in the Music Industry.

Perhaps it's because AP didn't live those songs, I don't feel the depth and the emotion
the soooooooouull!!! No, No...I do not!!
Arnel is a great singer and he seems like a great guy, but you cannot tell me what

Why don't you upload your home movies of Arnel? Let's see what you got. The plokkers would certainly love it.

The last thing I need is to get all involved with a bunch of "plokkers".
I've never eaten a piece of sushi I didn't thoroughly enjoy.
