Scarab Pilot wrote:The clip sounds very cool. Definitely Journey-sounding and rocking. BUT, I can still hear Arnels vocal issues. Maybe it's not a problem for most but I am hearing the 'AWWW' in the line 'But thats where IAAAWWM FRAAAAWWWM'.

Am I being too picky? Maybe Perry did this too and I am being biased. I am really wanting to give this album a chance but I was disappointed with Revelation. Too many enunciation issues.

I don't hear once single reason that Arnel sound be sounded out for an accent. This is so much clearer than Revelation and I didn't have a problem with that either.

It's 6.01 to be precise.

That 30 second clip sounds great! Love Neal's mean guitar sound there. If the rest of the album sounds like this, I'm IN! :D

ya no argument there.. the vocal signal chain is pristine... I need to compare this with a Revelation clip, as this is much louder....

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I don't know if I've ever heard his guitar sound that nasty. I love that.

Now I'm stoked. Love the artwork and how it hails back to Escape also.

Ok, I'm going to take back my earlier negativity. The COH clip was in my iTunes, on random Shuffle. It just came on 20 minutes ago, and sounded better then most of the stuff that preceded and followed it, to the point that I was "Aware" while it was on, that I was listening to tunes while I worked. I've been listening for 4 or 5 hours, and kind of oblivious. COH kind of woke me, and my speakers up, I know it's new, and theres a psychology to the whole "Oh Ya, this is a new Journey Clip", but I just went back, flipped through a bunch of stuff, and it does sound pretty fantastic. I know its louder, but I've got some pretty loud stuff in my iTunes. Switchfoot, Nickelback, Gwen Stefani (I didn't put it there) are just as loud, but don't sound as good. And this is an MP3, I think this CD is going to sound pretty amazing, I didn't mean to come off so negative in my last few posts.

Looking forward to buying this album!

That was a 30 seconds worth downloading. But what about the whole album? If this will be my basis of what is coming, then I might pre order this again. :)
