There is also a really commercial anthem that is just pure Raised On Radio but heavier. And an acoustic track that turns psycho!

Yes, it is as heavy as Soul Sirkus, but in a different way. Generations, TBF and SS all sound different to this record - this record just has more guitars! The sound is so thick and the drum sound kicks TBF's ass!!!!!!!!

The two main ballads; based on what you're saying, I'm thinking of the songs being more akin to "What I Needed" rather than "Faithfully". Is this guess accurate?

And an acoustic track? HELL YES. 8)

Acosutic as in Led Zeppelin meets Rush and Triumph

The ballads are original for the band - the big one is simply stunning and vocally insane.

What do you mean acoustic track? Just Arnel and the guitar? Or I thought you meant guitar instrumental. I misread it, I guess.

2 tracks feature keys in lead role - one of them being the beautiful, haunting power do force ballad - the other tracks keys, piano and organ are used to fatten the sound. They are there, you just have to listen hard at times.

Organ, as in a Hammond organ or something? Good grief, this is incredibly intriguing, lol... Layers of guitars, loud drums and an organ--my favorites, lol... Dang, thanks Neal!!

I had a feeling this CD would blow Revelation away, but I didn't expect it to be a masterpiece. I'm more stoked than ever, and that's saying a lot considering its, well, Journey.

Thanks for the short preview Andrew.

ANDREW

This is off topic.... but, have you heard anything regarding Neal Schon's next solo album? Have you heard when it might be released?

I know that he's using both Steve Smith and Deen Castronovo on drums on it. Do you know what style of music he plays on it? I was wondering if he might have had Deen play on Rockers, and Steve play on more experimental stuff like Jazz or New Age.

Nice. :D Looking forward to hearing that song.

Andrew, you didn't answer this question way back. Here it is again.

Edge of the Moment intrigued me, but hard to get a real grasp of it from youtube. Is it as good (or as great) as I am hoping it will be? It sounds like progressive rock to me and seems to have a great moody vibe.

I'll repeat my questions as well...

Andrew..

Do you have a favorite track ?

Is it one of the songs recently played live?

Will Gregg Rolie wish he were a part of this recording ?

A burning question, for me, is, Andrew, do you think you will get an interview about the making of this album with Neal? There's seems to have been a lot of passion in the making of this album and the Middle Eastern vibe (or whatever they call it, tantric vibe) and being a conceptual type album he wanted to make. I would be interested to hear how he and Jon came up with the themes on the album and the vibe they wanted on this album and the creative process of making it.

So, can you pry more than a 30 second clip out of mgt.? 10 more weeks seems a long time to try to maintain momentum without something more to drip-feed the hard-core fans.

what you have told us so far. I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on the album! :D

I have the feeling he's had it for a while ... given the "constant repeat" comments. I meant permission to put more than that one 30-second clip on his site for us to listen to.
