Dan, quick question...how do you do the phone updates without Itunes installed?

I was not even aware there are phone updates!  Here's a quick rundown: I bought a Verizon iPhone4 in March and the only thing I have done to it is purchase the Tom Tom navigation app. I only use the phone to talk, text, check e-mail and surf here a bit. Am I missing something? :?

I'm waiting until THE DAY.
I like the whole suspense thing. Getting a new album from a favorite artist makes me feel like a kid again.
I DO miss album covers though. I've hit that period in my life where I can't read the friggin' CD liner notes. Too Small.
DANG! What's next? Diapers?

By the way, this thread has really made me laugh today.

I've bought EVERY Journey album and will continue to do so- even though I was one that downloaded Arrival months before it's initial release, I still bought it the day it came out. I will be buying at least 2 copies of Eclipse on the 24th. Hopefully everyone who downloaded it will do the same thing.

Yeah, I'll definitely be buying a physical copy on the day of release. Probably more than one.

Yeah, if you like Journey, S U P P O R T them. If you don't, then get the hell out and quit downloading stuff.
I'm up to She's a Mystery. LOVE the second half of it. If I had one critique, and I've said this before:
Jon Cain- PLEASE find another word besides "Grace" to use over an over. It's weird, Cheap Trick uses TONIGHT over and over, Jon Waite uses WORLD over and over, and Cain uses Grace over and over.

I've only just noticed Jon's reliance on that word. And agreed, it's getting old.

True, but as pet words go, it could be worse. "Grace" may be a good name for the next album. I'm kidding, Jonathan!

If the band didn't want it "leaked" before the cd comes out, then it wouldn't be out there now, no?

And some people go to the shows without having to buy every new album too, and that IS supporting the band also, and costs a fan more than a 10 buck cd.

I don't know the origin of the leak, but I'd say that's entirely too simplistic. Leaks are ubiquitous in the entertainment industry, but it doesn't necessarily mean that the creators want it to happen.

And then you have fans who do both or neither.
Brywool's point is solid: If you claim to support the band, why not go out and buy a copy?

I get the point about the cd's, but that's not the only way to support a band.

And I didn't say they want it leaked. I just think that there must be ways to prevent that from happening before it's release date if truly meant to be kept top secret before release.

Possible, but it depends on the origin of the leak. I think they sent advanced promotional copies to Andrew and other promoters, so it might have came from there.
