That was my thought as well?? Guess he has gone back to listening to Journey again!

Dang, major, major props to SP if he is a fan and I can't think of any reason not to believe F Man... *Sigh* This is an awesome piece of news for sure.

I really can't think of any reason SP wouldn't be a fan of AP... AP is a talent for sure... SP can easily recognize that...

And besides... AP keeps Journey afloat... keeps the catalogue selling... all which benefit SP...

Which probably makes him Arnel's #1 fan.

I'm surprised and happy with the word fan; I think that's what jumped out at me... If Neal reads here I hope he sees this (Arnel, too). 'Course he may know that already but if not I'm sure he/they would be pleased.

I don't believe for one minute that Perry gave a "quote" so you can calm down K? Thanks!

Does the idea of Perry being someone's fan intimidate you all?

Not at all, because I don't actually believe he's a fan of Pineda.

Given his unusual egomania and extraordinary insecurity, I'd say he struggles between extreme jealousy and contempt when it comes to Arnie. Basically, just imagine if Schon couldn't play the guitar anymore and had to see a newer, younger model burning up the strings.

Think long and hard...and would you say it? I consider you to be one of the "most street smart here" so where do you think
the confirmation of this "quote" came from???

Honestly, I'd be shell shocked if it was ever confirmed that Perry describes himself as an Arnel "fan."

But I think that has more to do with the band Arnel is fronting than any deficit on Arnel's part.

:?:

No, you and I aren't talking about the same thing. What I meant was that I don't believe Perry is a fan of Arnel's, but the reason for that (in my opinion) is that Arnel is singing for Journey. I don't think it's because Arnel's not a good enough singer to earn Perry's respect or anything.

I don't want to speak for F Man but I would imagine that when he meant fan it was probably in the most general way. I was just struck by it. Then I'll be damned if one of the loonies didn't come galloping out of the woodwork, lol. So:

1. Now I know what some of the posters on here mean about the "sqwuaking loons," and
2. I really understand why SP lays low...

I don't believe he said it one way or another...but there are many here who believe that all is well in Journey land.

It took quite awhile for you to be able to say that and I'm being serious, not being my usual smart ass self. When it comes
to Neal, I don't hold anything about him in high regard, except his guitar playing. For that part, at least for me, it really is
about the music. :D
