Would love to see "Girl Can't Help It" performed live once. I wonder why Neal hates that song so much?

Jeremey, has Neal voiced that he hates the song, or just an assumption because they don't play it?

Not the best quality, but figured I'd post it anyway:

I second that! Love that song, especially the chorus part. Would like to see them sing that one or "Ill Be Alright Without You" from ROR.

My two greatest guitar influences and heros - BB King & Neal Schon. Really nice to see the boys pay tribute to this icon and legend. Neal's compressed, processed tone kinda bummed me out. Would have loved to hear him play it straight with a clean tone. Something akin to his original tone in Lights, Walks Like a Lady or It's Just the Rain. Even with too much delay, a la I'll Be Alright Without You, would have been better... I'm sure there will be some tribute somewhere with an egads number of 'name' guitarists... I hope Neal takes a different tack that time.

He didn't want to play it in our rehearsals together, Cain had to prod him into working it up. When I originally brought it up everyone kind of chuckled and Cain said, "Neal hates that song."

No idea why though.

Re "Girl Can't Help It", I wonder why, also. They had so much chemistry onstage with it:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tz-KVQZviKc

At 1:45, they seemed to have an inside joke or something. And when Steve pulled Neal to center stage at around 3:13, Neal was awesome. Too bad it isn't played often. Maybe Neal just missed those times too much to play it with anyone else. BUT probably not. :(

I think Neal used to love that song because he gets to play a lot in it and it has a great extended solo where he really shines. Plus, it should get more concert play because it was quite a big radio hit. I still think they should go more in the direction of infinity / departure deep cuts because those albums have more of a classic rock status for the band.

Edit: I was thinking about "I'll be alright without you" when I said Neal used to love it. Maybe they should do that one. 8)
