Havlat's playing. They should make him wear his flowered panties OVER his hockey pants so we know who we're not supposed to hit!

Helio Castroneves won the Indy 500 in case anyone cares....

Yeah... we switched over from the Hawks because now it's just SAD and wrong.

We lost our goalie and these backups are NOT cutting it.

You sure your goalie didn't quit? I didn't hear anything about hobby being hurt just sick. I got the impression he was peeved at getting pulled and refused to sit on the bench as a backup. I mean how hard is it to ride the pine? I feel bad for Crawford though. Bad position to be thrown in there.

He had a past groin injury that began bothering him again the other night, or so I heard.

And yeah... Crawford has to make his first playoff appearance against Detroit... I wouldn't want to be him right now.

Why don't Blackhawk fans chant "Detroit sucks" when the Blackhawks are getting smoked? I mean seriously, this game is pretty insignificant when you consider where these clubs have been the past 12 years.

That's part of the game, Red. You should know that. Every team The Pens faced so far has a "Crosby sucks" chant going when he already has multiple goals tallied up in a blow out win. Look at is as a compliment. That's what you want going into someone else's building. If they are cheering, that's bad. If they start getting the "sucks" chant going then that's good, unless its a sarcastic one when the game is already in hand.

The Hawks are completely shooting themselves in the foot. They score a Power Play goal to get them back into the game at 3-1. The Wings went straight down the ice (literally, it was that easy) and put the nail in the coffin at 4-1. Not only that, but they take 2 unnecessary penalties to make a 5 on 3, where Detroit scores another to make it 5-1. THEN THEY TAKE ANOTHER DIPSHIT PENALTY. That's 3 in a row that shouldn't of even existed. Fuckin retards. The Hawks deserve to get slaughtered like this because of it.

More than likely, it's Pens/Det and I'm so thrilled that we get the rematch. My balls grew at least two inches in circumference just thinking about a rematch. If Detroit thinks they'll be getting the same team they saw last year, they will sadly be mistaken. The Pens can take them this year.

I always said that the scariest teams to enter a playoff is the teams that had their backs up against the wall towards the end of the season and had to take care of business just to land a spot. That's what the Pens went through, and many wrote us off. The difference between this year and last year is that last year we were already at our highest peak in the playoffs, and we burned out against Detroit in the finals.

This year we are continuing to peak and have room for improvement and our best hockey is ahead of us, you just see it. Plus with the emergence of Crosby and Malkin taking over the ice (something that didn't happen last year) proves to be huge to our success.

Guys like Billy Guerin and Kunitz bring in that leadership and the experience of already having rings on their fingers to guide a young team that already lost in the finals a year before. Some of the faces have changed, but that doesn't matter when your prolific players (Syd/Malkin) are stepping up at a crucial time, where noone can or will stop them. I'm fired up.

Another thing, the Pens just breezed through the playoffs last season and wasn't really challenged to the point or break of elimination. Detroit was in a league of their own and The Pens went into an eye of a storm and was finished from game one. This year the Flyers played us well, and the Caps took us 7 games. We faced adversity all season and the chip on our shoulders is bigger than you could imagine.

Now I realize why I like football playoffs so much. One game, do or die.

This ricockulousness is like shooting a steer in the flank and watching it slowly bleed a painful death.

Chicago apparently ate retard pills this morning. Sigh. Owned. Pathetic, totally showing their age... Eager, Versteeg. They sucked today. Hard.

Hockey will never be at the level of Football, esp. here in the States. I love hockey, and it is a great time of the year when your team is pushing for a championship, and that's exactly what hockey is.. a seasonal sport. The town heats up as soon as the playoffs near, and you only hear a little or two during the regular season. I went to a couple hockey playoff games and even though they are fun as HELL, the atmosphere is not remotely CLOSE to being an atmosphere and intensity like the NFL.

Comparing the two, (and I've been to QUITE a few big games between the two sports) is like comparing Raindrops to a Drought. You go to hockey games and you get the sense of it being more family oriented. I've seen more married couples, old and young to bring their grandchildren or children to Penguin games, the things they do in between commercial breaks tends to the younger youth groups and have a more laid back approach. Football, the intensity is through the roof and you could feel the energy in the parking lots leading up to the game, and that's something I'll never be able to describe.

Hockey is a helluva sport though, and I gain more and more respect to the game and players with each game I watch. These guys are SICK, and should be commended more often. The two sports are great, but Football is the ultimate high when it comes down to it.

The Pens played tonight?!?!?! Shit I forgot!!!!!!

Just kidding. I was too busy working my night shift on the SWEEPING CREW!

What a series. It was basically like having a BYE series. We completely walked over them and raped their mothers. This is something I didn't say last year because of intimidation, but this year..

DETROIT: YOUR NEXT! Come out come out wherever you arrrrrrRRrrrrrrre, we got some unfinished business to take care of, and your name is written all over it.

Oh btw tree: Last year no one touched the Eastern Conference Trophy and we went on to get murdered in the FINALS. Maybe it's a good thing that we respected our accomplishment this year. Not bad for a team that was "supposed to suck this year" and "not even make the playoffs."

Actually , there is no such thing as unfinished business. We DID finish the business last year just like we will this year.
You guys need the extra rest. So be prepared for the Swedes of wings to show you how this game is played.

The worst case scenario for your Red Wings was if the Pens made it back. Expect a more competitive series this time around but by no means, will it be an easy series. Pittsburgh is better than they were last year, and Detroit lost a step, so it's pretty much a stalemate. I think the Pens do it this time, and bring the Cup to Da Burgh.

Hopefully the 'Hawks can force a game 6 (they won't beat Detroit 3 in a row) and beat them up before we get our 2nd crack at em. Win by any means necessary, babi.

Saddest possible thing that could have happened to the Hawks, especially in this round. Not to mention, terrible position for Huet to be in. But Khabi is battling an injury, and that happens, so what can you do? :? :? Khabi, they say, will be a gametime decision today, and they're prepared to start Huet. :?

I thought the Hawks finishing the round against VAN early while all the other teams were still going was going to be a good thing, having a bit longer break, but I suppose not.
