Saddest possible thing that could have happened to the Hawks, especially in this round. Not to mention, terrible position for Huet to be in. But Khabi is battling an injury, and that happens, so what can you do? Khabi, they say, will be a gametime decision today, and they're prepared to start Huet.

I thought the Hawks finishing the round against VAN early while all the other teams were still going was going to be a good thing, having a bit longer break, but I suppose not.

It is sad, because you want to think all the teams are getting their fair shot. It sucks to have an injury to a player in such an important position and this late in the season too, when they've gotten this far!

Detroit has long been my 2nd team (oddly enough) - I was for Detroit last year in the finals.
But this year, I'm pretty riled up about CHI getting stomped on, so I don't think that I can do it.

Plus, the Detroit lineup(s) that I always loved is (are) gone anyway. Yzerman, Shanahan, Federov, and later Hasek, Hull and Robitaille... I loved watching all those guys together just as much as I loved watching my mid-90s Hawks... Roenick (before he went nuts), Larmer, Graham, Chelios, Lemieux (Jocelyn) and omg... of course Eddie B! I wish he were still playing!

I'm not much into the current DET lineup and Dan Cleary just pisses me right off.
