No, Deano - I think you were right about Tapegate and I've believed that from the first time I saw your blog. I'd also disagree with Monker about Augeri's overall career with Journey too, I'm sure...

However...his skepticism - some might say his 'negativity' - about Journey now is often quite persuasive and on various minor points about the politics on this forum his take seems pretty sensible to me.

Plus...he's fearless in his posts...and says what he thinks even if it makes him unpopular...which is an admirable quality in anyone.

Having said all this...I don't have any history with the guy...so my perception is limited...but still...I do think he's one of the most interesting characters on the board...and there seems to be a double-standard operating at the moment. Monker and Fyre are getting a load of abuse and having threads locked and so on because they are taking issue with all the cheerleading...and this has the whiff of BT...in reverse.

You would be right about that. There are few people in the Journey internet world that I truly respect but Monker is one of them. I don't usually like him, I often get furious with him, and at times I've thought I hated him, but I respect him. He's THE MONKER.

Same here, Matthew, I wasn't open-minded for a long time, too....I became a little more receptive once JSS took over, more so out of curiosity than anything. It was at the point when I heard him live with Journey that I became sold.

You'll be able to make your own decision in a few months time. I really think you're going to like what you hear, but you need to see for yourself, I agree. There will always be some sort of negativity, you can't please everyone. The best thing to do is decide for yourself.
