I don't get this. Dean is the biggest Perry fan around. He adores Perry. He also has a ton of Perry boots, probably clost to as many as CRL & Strungout & if ur nice, he shares them.

Admittedly, he doesn't like those who just won't let Journey continue w/out Perry & who criticizes them for doing so. I'm a Perryloon myself. Dean has never offended me b/c of it.

I WISH you were as emphatic when it came time to silencing him with his reckless posting about others. Oh, but wait, you can't stand Monker, so he's fair game and it's fun.

This board is a laugh riot with all of its inconsistencies and hypocrisy.

You are sounding more and more like someone else on this board with every post. Deano is far from my bread and butter - he caused more headaches this year than everyone else combined.

But I am taking his statement on face value and I ask you to do the same until proven otherwise. Post away, but no more obsessing with Deano please.

I know that Dean only got to meet some of the band earlier in this tour.

Deano started a massive ball rolling and I believe he really is trying to put things right.

The events of the last year also gave me a massive migrane and sleepless nights trying to keep this forum open while evetyone had their say about things.

I for one am looking forward to the band's statement and perhaps the beginning of a chance for everyone to move forward.

Sorry, I do NOT believe you and why should I, Andrew? The way you've carried the ball for this little syncophant makes you look just as culpable. In my book, you've not only lost my respect, but a ton of credibility for hooking up with Dean, the Cretin. Carry on, Andrew. You guys make a great pair.

So what I am reading is that Deano has apologized to everyone but Perry fans?

Does that mean he gets to abuse Perry fans if he is in the mood, because the apology was never meant to include them, even to most Perry fans are Journey fans, Perry fans, buy Journey music and Journey sway and Perry fans by tix.

Andrew, can you hgive me an early ruling on this ..... I confuse so easily and just want to keep everything straight.

8)

I'm quite sure that Dean is a Perry fan. Sure...he's taken some shots at Perry (And many other people here), but so what. Listen, I'm the biggest Perry fan on the planet and believe with EVERY fiber of my being that Journey will NEVER have one quarter of the success without Perry that they had with him, and that is no disrespect to JSS, at all. I just believe that is the reality of Journey, without Perry.

Honestly, I can't believe people take Dean so seriously. As I've said many times here...It's part of his schtick, folks! Not everything he says is meant to be taken seriously. I definitely think Dean has said things that have definitely been way out of line, and he has been man enough to admit as much. That said, this is only an internet message board, and shouldn't be taken anywhere near as seriously as some people take it! In all honesty, if you don't like a certain thread by a certain poster...don't read it! I skip over many threads on this board that I have no interest in. It's really not that complicated of a concept!

I think most of the people on this board make a cogent point every now and again, and that's saying a lot. I'm personally much more annoyed by the same 5 people who obsess over Dean in every other thread than I am by any of Dean's off-colored remarks. Again, I am not condoning some of the comments he made, because some of them were simply out of line.

As far as the whole "unity" thing goes, I've never really cared about the issue. I was an active poster on BT for many years, and simply decided that site has very little to offer, in terms of any meaningful discussions. And while I agree that both sites certainly have their share of "fluff" posts...this site at least allows you to express an honest opinion, without having to worry about whether or not your thread is a good enough "commercial" for Journey. It just got too frustrating for me to see so many threads locked and deleted over there, and many of them were basically harmless. I think the fact that CJ (someone I've had my differences with) created the "Back Talk" forum seems to be a HUGE step in the right direction for BT and its mods. That to me tells me that they are at least open to allowing members to have open and honest discussions. Not every discussion has to turn into a "flame war", and it's really not the worse thing in the world if people are openly disagreeing with each other on a message board. I'll take that over the daily Augeri prayer threads, ANY day! While I sincerely respect Augeri's fans loyalty to the guy, it's simply not interesting to read the same 5 threads by the same 5 people for 6 straight months with a new "bump" every 10 minutes! If you can't contribute a bit more than that, it might be time to exit stage left and go start an Augeri Fan Club forum! As big of a Perry fan as I am, I didn't spend my time on BT talking about how great Perry is in every single thread!

Hey Andrew. I moderate several fan forums for our clients and I know it's a bitch. I enjoy reading your board. My favorite thread so far is "FINALLY Got Pix from Andrew's Trip to the US." You are such a cutie!

John I mean this most sincerely. Perhaps u should start a thread that gives lessons in how to do just that. It seems many here have no clue & instead hijack those threads & respond to EVERY single post in them, whether they are directed to them or not. Please, go for it.

Great idea JRox. I don't do the Booze and Sex thread, the Strange and whatever thread or the Now Playing thread because I know that's not what interests me. I don't begrudge anyone else their enjoyment of those threads though. Why not let people enjoy themselves? There's usually something here for everyone and if there's not, start a thread about your interest. There's bound to be someone else interested in it, or wait a day or two. Something will come up that interests you if you're a Journey fan.

I'm not gullible either.

The problem is, you and a few others keep baiting him as you are doing right now.

Deano is making an effort here, maybe you should do the same.

You asked for a change of tone on the board, you asked for Deano to change.

You got what you wanted and you're still complaining.

If Deano's proclamation doesn't last because of your baiting, then, really, it's your own fault.
