Will that include on other sites as well, Andrew? There are other places he can't defend himself either, and we all know that certain people like to take information from here to there in order to ridicule both you and him. I feel certain you know who these people are.

How can you dictate what people post on other forums? That's ridiculous.

Not trying to dictate anything anywhere. Just asking a question of the man who dictates this forum...

And don't start with me.

I am not responsible for any other forum, nor am I responsible for the actions of people here or elsewhere.

What I do have control over is the tone of this board and I have REPEATEDLY stated what I wish for in regards to behavior here and the contents of this thread is a prime example of what I do NOT want.

I must therefor take action - not an action I enjoyed doing or take any satisfaction in doing. In fact it upsets me greatly, as Dean is a strong supporter of this message board.

But I repeat - I have set standards here and I will hold ALL users to this, no matter who they are.

Don't start with you? Please. It sounds like you are expecting Andrew to ban people who post here and at TJF's who talk about Dean. I think that is ridiculous. If you didn't want anyone to comment on it, perhaps you should have PM'd him. Maybe I misunderstood what you meant, but it seems you expect Andrew to read other forums to see what people are posting and then take action against them. Is that right?

Out of respect for Andrew, I will not address this further. It's not like everyone doesn't know the deal anyway...

Everytime one of THEM comes over here there is trouble and they always bait Dean...ALWAYS..its a shame but sometimes he takes the bait because he is tired of getting trashed all the time...sometimes there are moments that u just have to respond.....

I loved it when they called me an old bag and a gold digger and a few other things...they just don't know when to quit!!!

Dean, just remember, PAYBACKS ARE HELL, and they will get theirs someday....

How exactly was Dean baited? I was posting in this thread and he didn't like what I had to say. I sure as hell didn't have Dean in mind when I wrote that.

This thread was not meant to cause all this comotion and for that I am sorry and take full responsibilty. After all if I wouldnt have posted this, things wouldve been less hectic for Andrew.
Maybe everyone involved in this thread leading it to where it went should get a week ( myself included) :?

He jumped in with a full head of steam
and the rest is history...

so it couldn't be the Hockey game tha tset him off

And don't worry, we all know you ain't no old bag :)

I'll take a weekend...in Florida. There's a concert (or three) going on down there for those that don't know it. 8)

I think ALL political threads should be banned, they never go anywhere but south (and I DON'T mean to Florida).

 Barb - you honesly don't care that 150,000 Iraqi civilians have been killed?

As for the "bullshit"...well, isn't it a bit more complicated than that? Iraq has always had major ethnic and religious differences - more than any other country in the region. Saddam repressed the Shias and the Kurds for decades - so it's no surprise that they are standing up and fighting now.

I support what we are trying to do over there and I support our President. However, I am disgusted beyond belief that no one had the foresight to see the potential for civil war once Sadaam was gone.

Exactly. Anyone with a rudimentary grasp of the history of Iraq could have predicted a civil war. So who are you disgusted with? You say you support the President...yet surely he is ultimately responsible for the disastrous lack of foresight?

Of course I care about that. I'm just frustrated that they have not done more to secure their own country and are content to rely on the American military indefinitely. What is the saying? God helps those who help themselves. It's time for them to stand up, and if they won't, then their fate is their own choice as far as I'm concerned. It's been 4 years and they still do not seem to have the will (or the desire) to fight for their own nation.

I support the President in what he is trying to do, but I am not thrilled at the way this war has been run. I disagree with Bush on quite a few things, but I do support him.

I also think your estimated number of civilian deaths in Iraq is a lot higher than it really is.
