My finest hour was exposing that fake rock star. That was monumental. I still hate that fucker. I still cannot listen to Arrival, 13 or Generations. Thanks Mimer.

Steve's voice wasn't "going". It was maturing. I've said it before, and I'll say it again...he was fantastic on FTLOSM and he never sounded better than he did on TBF. He didn't "lose it" in '87. Why he walked away will never truly be known, everone's opinion notwithstanding, unless he pens his own bio someday. He sant the soundtrack to my life, but I'm still pissed off at him for the way he treated the fans over the years.

For every one of you, Perry has hundreds who understand why he would probably tell some of you pin heads to get a life and try to even come close to accomplishing what he has.

Face it. You're all just a bunch of jealous lowlifes.

Soto should be ashamed to have you as fans. You're screwing up his chanch with the band. Some of you are the ass end of what being a Journey fan is. :P

I wonder who the first lowlife will be to dispute me on this.

You will probably be erased by the powers that be, because you DARE to challenge the "good old boys" on this Forum. We all know there is an association between the lead ignoramus on this Board and the Band, despite the disgruntled fan remark. So, is it that the Band is trying to distance itself so far from Perry that this is the type of fan base they target now? You are right on the money! Soto should be ashamed to have them as fans and even more so as friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I compare Perry to Clinton, they both had a great period at the top, with Clinton even taking on the R&R livestyle by fillin' the mouth of a groupie 8) One thing that differs though is the period after they left power, Clinton became even more popular and has become a respected figure throughout the world. Perry went the other way, as if he was content that his good name and years of hard work stood for nothin'....literally without a voice, no real channels of communiction, only enough to keep the speculation on going until eventually his name will become a distance memory in Rock History

As for Journey and Perry, there's respect from both camps and I'm guessing always will be. All the big man needs to do is grant Andrew one interview. Fuck what went on in the past, just what's going on in his little world now (2007), that would clear the air, gain respect and put a stop to all this...not a lot to ask from a fan base that goes way back. I for one don't want to read the Q&A's carefully selected, spill out what's going on to Andrew...5-10 questions,, that's all. It's free fuckin'PR for Christ sake

I still maintain a Sam Cooke Perry style album will polish off his carreer and a fitting way to end, but lets not go there as we've done this before

On another note, Joan..calm down

He's not playing cat and mouse with Neal and Jon. He told Jon that "There's no going back." He told us that "the divorce was final". They're not waiting for him. What's the problem?

True, but the band has the open door policy where SP is concerned. 'He's welcome to sing with them whenever he wants.' That, I think keeps people watching him closer than if it wasn't the policy. I realize SP is an incredible talent, but I bet the boy had no idea he would still at this time in his life, after so many years of absence, be in such demand.

You all just are so fucking stupid sometimes. You don't think Neal knows or doesn't know about Peryy's singing capapbilities? He does folks, and that's precisely why he invited him out to sing....because he knows that it will never happen.

I don't give a fig what you say about Mr P he is and will always be one of the very best singers.....next to ELVIS i am a fan of both. Who gives a flying fig what sockboy feels about Mr P i for one don't care what he thinks. He is a asshole and will always be in my book.
So Deano if you cover his back maybe you need to cover the front as well.
There will always be true fans of MrP and it does not mattter what you say or do .So just STOP harping about it. But i guess i am asking way to much from you.

We were front row, directly in front of Neal in Orlando last November. Saying it was incredible would be an understatement.

I agree. People including Public Enemy #1 HIMSLEF Deano, are always telling me I don't miss p cuz I never saw him live.

But Neal is what it's been all about for me, and in perry's defense it MAY have been b/c I didn't go mental for the band until the box set came out, long after they'd slipped into silence.

But if I had to go my grave without seeing Schon play live I'd've killed myself. :)

Actually, Dean WAS in the first picture. We had a FABULOUS time together in Florida. ALL of us, coming from around the country, Journey fans who actually ATTEND Journey concerts. Maybe ya'll should try it, instead of just sitting around bitching about them (Journey and their fans) on a message board!!!

And you wonder why people jump on you...
