I was solidly in it for Ledger's Joker and could go a 3rd time as soon as tomorrow. I'm obsessed with it to be honest. That is one of those performances where it changes the way actors are portrayed, and put a new staple in cinema movies, especially super-hero movies.

If Nolan decides to re-cast the Joker in the 3rd installment..my take would be this guy. Joseph Levitt. Giving what Hollywood is capable of doing, there wouldn't even be a drop off between Ledgers appearance and Levitt's. I won't go as far as acting is concerned. No one will top Ledgers performance.

This guy can get the job done.

Levitt is the front runner amongst the film-geek crowd. I think he'd be an interesting choice. Too bad Daniel Day Lewis is 20 some odd years too old!

Most Bond fanatics pledge their allegiance to Sean Connery, but I love the Roger Moore era.

I liked him in "For your eyes only". They did away with most of the comedic and slapstick chicanry of past films and really focused on presenting a good story.

It was way too long and, at times, it was way too slow. The much-touted intelligence of the film was way too overt.

And maybe the chorus of critics, one of whom compared the thing to Michaelangelo’s David, gave us expectations that never could have been satisfied.

Regardless, it felt like a laregly wasted three hours. Bale’s lead character had an incredibly annoying old lady smoker’s voice when he was playing Bruce Wayne’s alter ego. And, frankly, we doubt that there would be so much fawning over Heath Ledger’s performance as the Joker if Ledger were still alive.

Ledger was very, very good. But not nearly as downright-freakin’-piss-in-your-pants-creepy as Javier Bardem in No Country for Old Men.

Must...not ...let...NIG get...last ....word on...movie....

Aw the hell with it! You say "potato"...

BTW- Javier WAS creepy as hell, and Harry Knowles at AINTITCOOL threw HIS name out there to replace Heath in installment 3!

Sometimes it sounded like Ledger was channeling Richard Dreyfus.

And Batman was channeling McGruff the Crimedog. Annoying as hell.

Word on that. Bale sounded like he woke up that morning and ate a giant fluffy glass pancake with battery acid syrup.

That annoyed me to all hell. When Bale does that it sounds so fake and forced that it comes off just plain stupid.

It was a little too long, or maybe it just felt that way because some parts were a bit slow. I DID enjoy it though.

Bale can do no wrong in my book. I love the Batman voice in these movies... it's the same voice from Begins, did it bother you there?

Warner Bros. collected a stunning $24.5M on Monday for its superhero juggernaut The Dark Knight boosting the four-day cume to a towering $182.9M. That puts the comic book sequel on track to smash through the $200M mark on Tuesday after only five days of release setting a new industry record. The old record sits with three films - Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Spider-Man 2, and Star Wars Episode III - which all needed eight days to pass the mark. Breaking the double-century level in three fewer days would be an astonishing achievemnt.

After setting a new record for opening weekend sales, Knight scored the best non-holiday Monday gross in box office history and ranks as the fourth best overall take for the day. Compared to the next two biggest openers, the new Batman film's first Monday more than doubled Spider-Man 3's $10.3M from May 2007 when students were still in class, and flew a healthy 35% above Chest's $18.1M from July 2006.

There is no doubt that excitement for The Dark Knight is continuing and that the week ahead will see more records crumble. Midweek grosses could reach $75-80M which would be more than what most big summer hits took in during their opening weekends. At its current pace, the megablockbuster could end its first full week in the vicinity of $235-240M after a mere seven days.

Not quite. He sounds stupid throughout most of Begins. Only in certain parts of Dark Knight.

And as for the Julliard crack, yeah it's HORRIBLE that our actors should be TRAINED isn't it?

Not meaning to sound like an ass- just have some VERY strong feelings about this performance and film. Obviously you do too, so c'est la vie...

Your being too literal. Juliard scenery chewing just means acting.

Roger Moore was the best at playing Roger Moore.
Maybe not the best 007, but definately the most fun.
