I'm fine with that, as long as it doesn't extend much beyond here. I wouldn't like to see any of those images suddenly appearing on some official ad campaign without my knowledge or consent, or more importantly that of the band's management. Some of the photos were taken as a result of privileged access I was granted by the band and so I try to keep them in the loop regarding where those images might be used.

Cool use of Photoshop though.

Great photography! I always wanted to take it in college. My strength was always drawing and painting. I hear what you are saying about abuses of your work. People forget we have to pay for the skills we learned. It would be like asking a doctor to do free plastic surgery. Also you have to get releases from some people just to use their image. It is more complex than some know. You do a wonderful job. Thank you for sharing your work!

theres a problem in digital photography.
once you post it in the web, its basically free for all.
i wonder if there is any control over this.

There are still copywrite laws. Just because you can download it doesn't mean it becomes your property and you can use it in commericial or other use. Artist who use photoreferencing have to be very careful not to copy other work. Lawsuits can be had for this. We are warned repeatedly in college to use our own references if we can.

That's perfectly true. Some photographers (certainly not all) allow their images to be used for non commercial purposes on MySpace, Flickr, Facebook etc. Some photographers refuse to put images online at all, for fear of them being stolen or misused, and I don't think ANY professional photographer would be happy to see their images being used for commercial gain by a third party, where they weren't getting any of that benefit themself. Although the laws do seem to be changing gradually, at the moment all photographs are still protected by copyright unless that is specifically waived or reassigned BY the photographer.

It is such a shame, I have a site for my art, but it has built in protection. It also has a copywrite below every work. I respect photographers work, if I use a reference that is not my own, I alter it so much it changes the image all together. Look at my avitar! LOL! Now that is no copywrite of anyones work! Thank goodness for you guys out there to show us what rare creatures of the deep look like, what great things are out in other exotic places, and catching Air-nel in full height of his jump! LOL! People need to know taking your work is effectively stealing. You have great skills my friend!
