No stupid.

Under Sharia law, a child's religion is determined entirely by the religion of the father. It's simply fact under muslim law. Barrack Hussein Obama *is* a muslim. Whether or not he claims to be a practicing christian white hater or an atheist, isn't the issue here.

If as a child you were baptized a catholic, whether or not you claim to be one, doesn't change the fact that you're catholic. The same applies here with Obama. However, an added factor here is that such a determination is not only per appearance, but per fact, as determined by the laws set forth by the muslim community. Under such laws, Barrack Hussein Obama IS an apostate muslim. No hopeful democrat voting public is going to change that fact, no matter how hard they try to will it away.

It would suggest, given the fact that you appear to have little to no true understanding of the religion, that you educate yourself on the matter prior to ignorantly commenting on it. It seems, given this situation, that you sir, aren't the brightest bulb here. Do some reading on this (assuming you can read books without pictures) and get back to us when you can comment with a basis of knowledge on the subject.

the question is, do smear jobs affect Palin's popularity at all? I dunno but the democrats seem not to understand the situation. the more they focus on Palin, the more votes it is for McCain. Palin would surely win the VP position, so there is no sense on attacking her. if I were them, I would concentrate on McCain. man, this is the first time I saw a presidential election where a whole opposing party is fixated on attacking a rival VP candidate? this election has surely turned into an entertaining one.

You're being an asshole. BARB DOESN'T BELIEVE OBAMA IS A MUSLIM. GET THE HELL OVER IT. I've known Barb for about eight years and I can categorically tell you that she is not anti-Muslim.

Right - a discussion! Every time any Democrats on this board try to engage in any type of discourse, you bring out the attack dogs! So what's the point?

Who's the one being the attack dog here? Pretty obvious to me.

Listen up. The only thing less funny than your sarcasm is your inability to see the world through anything but the narrowest of prisms.

For the last time: this is America. Obama was not RAISED a Muslim, nor did he ever PRACTICE Islam. Therefore, he is NOT a Muslim...regardless of what Sharia says...

Wow, you are an ignorant, hateful son of a bitch.

Hate to tell ya this, but Islam is the second largest religion in the world and its congregants don't all come with ACME bombs strapped to their chests.
What a bunch of insular nose pickers.

I don't know how this thread got on the subject of Obama, but I think the point should be that liberals need to stop worrying about what Palin's church believes, since both she and her church have the right to the beliefs.

I can't stand it when liberals scream separation of church and state then go crying about what someone's church believes. If you want someone's religious beliefs to stay out of government, stay out of their religious beliefs.

I agree completely. It only becomes relevant if she attempts to dictate Administration policy predicated upon those beliefs.

Believe it or not, for some of them it is a choice. I knew a Thai honey who was a lesbian once. Both her and her girlfriend were drop dead beautiful and had I not known their little secret, I would have never guessed in a million years these chicks were lesbians, they looked like very feminine Asian models. Anyways, before my very eyes, she changed and went with guys for the rest of the years I knew her.

Because she, her 20 year old Filipina girlfriend and I all went out dancing together one night up in the city (San Fran) at a place called St. James at the foot of Twin Peaks on Market Street, and towards the end of the evening, her girlfriend left the club with some other chick. On the drive home, this Thai chick was crying on my shoulder the entire way, like you would expect a chick would do after breaking up with her boyfriend. It really tripped me out. During our drive home, she told me that she was through with dating chicks, that she was tired of being hurt by another woman like that. And for the five years I knew her after that, she kept her word. I eventually lost track of her since about the time I returned to the Philippines in the 90's. But perhaps she may have went back to dating chicks exclusively, but maybe she didn't.

But some have the ability to change. But they have to want to change for themselves and nothing and/or no one else. I had a really great friendship with her though, cause even though I had already got my first taste of sushi in Japan before ever meeting her, she taught me how to eat it the proper way. And there just isn’t any better teacher in the world then a hot Asian chick who also loves to eat sushi to show me how.

Dude, our Mama beats your 'Bama. Don't hate Sarah because she is both a hot babe AND will be a great VP. Most of the personal attacks on Palin have already been discounted. It is amazing how quickly these attacks were proved wrong with dates and other supporting facts. So much for the Democrats railing against the politics of personal distruction. They had their lawyers in Alaska looking for dirt on Palin, her husband and her kids before you could say Obama bin Laden...

Sarah Palin a hot babe? I think I just threw up a little in my mouth. There goes my lunch!

Wow. The Right Wing Republican Lie Machine is at it better than ever this year.

What did Mark Twain say? "A lie can be halfway around the world before the truth gets its shoes on."

Well, if your side wins, neo-conservatives can rejoice...and McCain / Palin will be as disastrous as Bush / Cheney.

Wow...talk about HATE?

Get a grip man. Things arent as bad as you think they are right now, they won't be bad if McCain-Palin win, and actually they won't be as bad as the conservatives fear if Obama-Biden win.

Even if you don't have faith in the government (I certainly don't) at least have faith in the PEOPLE of this country to do the right thing.

Voters "elecated" Bush in 2000 and elected him in 2004. They dug their own graves.

As for "praying gay away", isn't it rather stupid praying to the the thing/entity that makes a person gay to take it away. God/nature makes some people gay for some reason...at least, I personally don't think the kids who realize they are gay pray "Please, make me a human that some ignorant humans hate, beat up, and kill!".

I'd not be so quick to say it's stupid. You have your beliefs that God makes gay people and straight people, others do not believe this is the case. People have the right to their beliefs as long as those beliefs don't harm anyone else or impose on their freedoms. Palin and her church have the freedom to their beliefs, really shouldn't even be discussed.
