They played this at the Shoreline show tonight. First, I was stunned they played it. I normally sing along to every song, but I just stood there and listened to Arnel sing this song and coudln't believe what I was hearing. He is absolutely amazing. This recording doesn't do what he does with this song justice.

Steve Augeri sang this song at his first show with Journey in Marin in June 1998. As soon as he was finished, I turned to my best friend (who was with me tonight as well) and said "he is NEVER allowed to sing that song again". He just couldn't pull it off. Arnel more than pulls it off - he flat out fucking nailed it and then topped it off with raw emotion. He is one amazing vocalist. PERIOD.

This debate will continue to eternity and this is unavoidable. We will have the positive and negative sides of everything because we are entitled to each and his own opinion.
As long as there is a keypad to type on and a FORUM to express our side of the issue it will rage on.
Rebuttals will be part of it, some will be nice and some will be nasty but hey that is what we are guaranteed in our constitution..freedom of speech and to express ones self.
As long as there are no physical contact involved I think everything is just fine. Just do not go the boundaries of human decency and everyone of us will endure.
Hell..try and live in Saudi Arabia or any neo conservative country and you will understand how we guys here are so God damn lucky.

Funny, I said that about every non-"Arrival" track when Augeri was in the band. On another note, I suspected that the shitty youtube recording (which was about a 1 out of 10) didn't do Arnel justice. Hopefully, this track will be part of a new, professionally recorded DVD!
