Bush doesn't have a "speech impediment". He has a brain impediment! I'm fairly confident that if W. actually did have an actual "speech impediment" that it would have come out through the media in the past 8 years, and probably while he was the Governor of Texas. This isn't a situation where the guy has stage fright or a stuttering problem. The man simply can't correctly pronounce many words. You obviously think that's okay. I don't. As I've said before, I'm just someone who wants to at least believe that the President Of The United States is more intelligent than I am. In W.'s case, I don't believe that for a second, and would feel the same way even if I voted for the dope!

Perhaps, but sounds like a bit of a stretch to me. I think I would have seen evidence of some of this hidden brilliance in the 8 years he served, and I certainly haven't. He has a couple of months left, so perhaps he's just waiting until the very end to unveil his vast brain

Now it's you who is missing the point. If someone is actually intellectually challenged, it's really nothing to make light of. I believe it's actually mean to point out someone's lack of education. Also, even though I think you're a dope, it has nothing to do with your ability to read aloud in class or your education

W. is
IVY LEAGUE FUCKING EDUCATED, and unlike you, I don't believe for one minute that he has a "speech impediment" that magically nobody has ever heard a single word about! The amazing thing is that you're clearly a W. supporter (which in itself is FRIGHTENING) and you must even believe that the guy sounds like a dope, or you never would have dreamt up this "speech impediment"!
scarygirl wrote:If you want to criticize the man for his policies fine, but nit picking him to death because he doesn't have the eloquence of Obama is Elitist.
I can assure you that I have been VERY critical of W's policies. I can also assure you that I am not close to being an "Elitist". To suggest that someone is "Elitist" just because they happen to believe that a politician should be just a bit articulate is fucking stupid! The Mayor of Boston is a fucking embarrassment when he speaks, and I cringe every time I listen to him speak and realize that he's representing my hometown on the national stage! I know it's a radical concept, but I truly believe that a prerequisite for the job of politician should be intelligence. They're all fucking corrupt. The least they can do is just bring some intellect to the equation!
