His performance sucked. Plain and simple. His 'look' will keep him in the competition....thats about it. I'm sure he'll do well during Andrew Lloyd Webber week......

In spite of the rather theatrical presentation and his obviously gay look. I really like his voice. He's different and I'm so sick of the usual male singer clones out there.
Triple S wrote:Why the hell do they have to do this stupid country music week every year? Most of the contestants are clearly not comfortable with that genre and it's so friggin' boring. At least Adam did something completely different - well OK, really different.

Well that's great because this show isn't really about singing talent as much as marketing a certain 'look'....

You're right. I agree that the best singers don't always win. For example, Jennifer Hudson should have won instead of Fantasia. However, winning the show isn't that important, but it does give some talented singers the opportunity to get discovered.

You're dead on with that statement, I believe.
Melinda Doolittle was, in my opinion, the best singer during Daughtry's and that crew's season. SIMON was noticeably pissed after receiving the news.
I stopped watching idol after that.

People burn in hades for blaspheming the great Johnny Cash.

Now, I am definitely not an expert on vocals, nor have I seen all of his performances, but judging from the video link posted at the original post, I disagree.
I think, according to technical skill and overall fan base, Chris Daughtery takes that label.

Who cares about fan base, Clay Aiken, Carly Smithson and Adam Lambert sing Chris Daughtery under the table. Chris a good rock singer, but he doesn't have HALF of Adam Lambert's range.
