I've seen them get bigger and bigger each summer (excluding 2002 and 2004). 2005 they averaged 6,800 ALONE...and I think thats tremendous these days in an era where kids aren't as stoked about shows as we were/are. I know it was a triple bill last year, but they sold out 60% of the shows...whereas Arrival really struggled in most markets. I went to a sold out show last year (well in advance) in the same venue that drew about 30% capacity for Arrival.
There's some misdirection here. It's a fact that Journey can't singularly draw without the help of a big name act like Heart or Styx or Def Leppard. Arnel hasn't changed this fact....the band's in the twilight right now. Arnel's not making a positive difference that can be quantified by any means...
