Apparently, so says the HOF, if you clear your cache and history, this issue should go away. They say the larger numbers are correct. Worked for me.

I'm sure there are a lot of bands in the HOF that haven't changed musical history....not naming any names. Why should Journey be expected to live up to this requirement, when others have not?

The HOF is bullshit with a lot of sub par, shitty acts many of which, don't even qualify as rock music. The author of the article is an idiot. Steve Perry's voice alone changed rock and roll. There has never been a better rock ballad singer. There were plenty of 'copy cat' singers after Perry/Journey's success. Bands like Survivior were very successful pretty much copying Perry's singing style with good songwriting. This fact alone proves their mark. The HOF should stick with their bullshit like Madonna and NWA.

I agree the HOF is complete BS, but I have been voting, for the only hope that Steve Perry Neal Schon Gregg Rolie Steve Smith Jon Cain Ross Valory and Ansley Dunbar will share a stage together.

But the whole Chicago debacle has left me wondering.

Journey may not be the pioneers of AOR, but they sure perfected it.

Journey wins Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Fan Vote, ELO finishes second

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Given the popularity of its big hits that have stood the test of time, Journey was the favorite heading into this year's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Fan Vote. And it stayed that way throughout.

The group behind the hits "Don't Stop Believin'," "Open Arms" and "Faithfully" led from the opening week of the vote. Electric Light Orchestra, Yes, Pearl Jam and the Cars rounded out the top five.

Those five acts will make up a fan ballot added to the other official ballots that were due into the Rock Hall this week. On the outside looking in of the poll were artists like Depeche Mode, Steppenwolf and Tupac Shakur.

During the previous four inductions, the winner of the Fan Vote - Rush, KISS, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Chicago - has wound up being inducted. If that holds true, Journey fans can begin anticipating the chances of a reunion between original lead singer Steve Perry and his former bandmates (Though, that's not guaranteed).

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will announce the Class of 2017 on Tuesday, Dec. 20, along with details about April's induction ceremony set to take place in Brooklyn, N.Y.
