I don't even want to post this, but the Band did, so here goes:

Soul Sirkus has canceled Ventura, CA due to...low interest, and low tix sales...I don't get it? The CD is very solid, and the buzz is high.

Andrew, do you have any take on this??

And please Perry girls, stop..I can already read your replies.."Neal can't sellout theaters...Neal just is average without Steve P....SAVE it..

I am sure there are some areas that the cost of the show might not be recouped by the low ticket sales. Sad, but true....maybe once the new cd takes hold it will pick up. JSS has mentioned a couple times that some of the venues have been pretty empty. This is not a big surprise though, since there is no real outlet for the CD in the US. Sattelite radio is about it. The press and the interviews have been great, but if you can't readily hear the music it is not going to sell.

It was poor planning to book a club in Ventura on a weeknight, have zero promotion and then schedule the same band around the same time at more convenient venues in the same general area. You can't fill a club if none of the local people know you are playing there.
