Steve Augeri is not even a top 300 rock/pop singer

Starting with Elvis Presley to the present, Steve Augeri isn't even one of the best 300 rock/pop singers off all time. Steve Augeri covers already popular songs of Steve Perry. When you compare an Augeri song to a Perry song, this is more than obvious.

Any rock critic would not include Steve Augeri as one of the top or best 300 rock/pop singers of all time from the 1950s to the present.

Think about it. Of all the bands in rock/pop music history, there is no way that Steve Augeri's name gets included as one of the top 300 singers ever.

Well, Tyketto's Danny Vaughn happens to think that Tall Stories is the best melodic rock album ever made. While I don't feel THAT strongly about the cd, I certainly do feel it's one of the best melodic rock cds out of my some hundred + collection. That's no small feat to be sure. Neither is being personally selected by Jon Cain and Neal Schon to sing for Journey, nor is fronting a rock band night after night after night.
I also have no doubt that the impending Journey cd will likely put another distinguished feather in Augeri's cap.

As far as where Augeri rests in ur personal list of 300 top rock singers of all time, who really cares? :roll:

There are 10's of thousands of singers who do not make a list. Many of them are BRILLIANT. Sadly, Steve Augeri is not recognized by the media...that does not make him any less enjoyable!

What makes a great singer? Bob Dylan? Joe Cocker? Those guys have awful pipes, yet are still good singers. Bryan Adams doeas not have perryesque vocals, but dude can sing.

You're right too NealIsGod. I have to remember there are hardcore Journey fans out there. Fans that will see Journey anywhere, which is great. Journey puts on a good show, and why shouldn't we all wish them the best in the studio and the concert scene.

Yeah, I have been a jerk lately, and I am sorry. I have too much time on my hands...no pun towards the Styx song...if I am just going to find fault with Journey. Whoever the five guys are, they are a band.
