Just wtching this then during Whos crying now when Steve Perry goes walkabout I noticed a Hidden off stage guitarist!

He was there tucked in the wings behind Jonathon Cain...

Are you sure it was a guitar tech tuning up another of Neal's guitars?

I do not recall this being a common practice for Journey, but it is a common practice for MANY bands.

If you watch "Frontiers and Beyond," the guitar tech is playing along to "After the Fall." No Way did Journey "guitar cheat."

I thinks it absurd and pathetic that Journey had to wait 24 years to release a concert DVD.

24 years to release a dated concert. This proves that Journey can't even make sound decisions. I never thought you'd leave. Remember, I stated you'd be back.

They may not have released a lot of video or DVD in the past, but they sure could now.

There are rumors that some DVDs were to be produced from various old and new shows, but that certain current or past members of the band had to give their consent. Apparently that consent was rather difficult to get.

I am not bashing any one side here. My opinion is that one side wanted to release something, approval was not given, then in "retaliation" the other side would not give their consent on another project.

Could be wrong, just making an inferrence from what I have read in the past.

That makes absolutely no sense to state "you heard it from someone." I heard "Oswald didn't shoot JFK, or trains sometimes run on cement." Look, all I am saying is don't stir the pot...We do KNOW Perry was "involved" versus the rest of the band. What we don't know are the inticate details.......

Just release the stupid thing already!

Deano,

I have no beef with you. In fact I usually agree with what you have to say.

No where in my post did I say the I " heard from someone". I simply stated my opinion on what I have read on this forum and BT in the past.

Maybe I was being to vague, but I was trying not to stir the pot.

Just answering troublemaker Troll's post in this thread concerning not releasing a DVD in 24 years.

I also stated this is only opinion. Let not you and I war over this. Peace.

Last we heard, the Houston DVD was next to be worked on. But, according to Perry, he and Journey could not come to a satisfactory agreement with SONY. it appears that all the band members involved were in agreement, but SONY was not.

Per JDK, the Houston DVD would be first. Then he and Perry wanted to follow up with a ROR DVD, probably Mountain Aire.

What I wish for most, is a new DVD featuring Journey live 2001-present.
I would love to see a compilation DVD of live footage from the Arrival Tour to cover every song off Arrival (minus one).
And/Or I would love to see a 30 year compilation DVD...a Journey family album covering EVERY generation of Journey. I think this is the year to do that. But that is where it seems to get sticky since Perry has to agree to what footage is used from 'his' era with Journey. I know there was a 2-3 disc DVD idea in the works at one time. But it did not come to fruition for what ever reasons...

And lets not forget the ill fated DVD of the Warfield show when Journey got on the SF walk of fame.

I think a retrospective DVD of Journey's whole carreer to now would be incredible. Sort of like at updated video version of Time3.

I just wish they could get it together :? . Everybody involved would make money off it.
