From JDK's website:

Is there any news on the 2nd Journey DVD? It seems there was talk
about it & then nothing. We (the fans) are diligently working on seeing
that Journey gets nominated & inducted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
for 2006...this would be the perfect time for that DVD to come out
(plus, I personally want one) :)

I think that Steve Perry and I will probably start to work on it this Summer and hopefully it will be released by Christmas.

****

Sounds like Sony and Journey found an agreement.

Sounds like the same answer from last year...but thank you. I will keep an eye out.

The funny thing is, as much as I don't care for the ROR material, I would prefer the ROR DVD first. The footage I have seen is just fantastic. The band still did a great job on tour.

Yeah, and as of June 10th, 2005, I hereby announce myself as candidate for president of the United States. There isn't any freaking DVD coming with Perry on it or in it... I hope to Hell I am proved wrong.

This is wonderful news! I'm sure hoping Sony & Journey did come to an agreement, I'm looking forward to getting another Perry/Journey DVD. :D

Sorry, but "I think" and "I hope" are not announcements of anything other then "nothing has really changed but I hope it does happen"

What Monker said, and add to that the word "probably."

If it is as cruddy as the GH DVD then they can stuff it...waste of money - the sound quality was horrific

As close to the real thing is best. I have a personal video of FTLO
SM and it's the real thing and I wouldn't want it any other way. Someone might be able to enhance it but It's too real to mess around with.

While I'm not knowledgeable about the technical stuff that goes into making a DVD, the sound etc, I just know that I enjoy watching the DVD very much & it sounds just fine to me. :D

Also this DVD did excellent in sales too. Last I heard it had gone platinum in 4 months time or something like that.

Not sure if it was 4 months. Might've been even less time than that. But yes, it did go Platinum WITHOUT any promotion whatsoever which I think is a really a stunning testament to Perry's legion of loyal fans.

I recall Monker predicting that the dvd wouldn't sell very well.
He was mistaken.
I wasn't sure how well it would sell. Since the 2001 dvd went Gold without any promotion, I figured the Perry-era dvd would sell just as well if not even better.

I am looking forward to the ROR dvd.
