So, Is this Illegal?

Postby Rockindeano » Thu Jun 23, 2005 11:56 am

I am going to the kickoff show in Irvine on Sunday night. If I get the CD, and I want to download it and send it to you guys, you know who you are; Monker, Nealisgod, JRNY28, NC, et al.. is that wrong to do? I know you are all probably going to get it anyway.

Someone talk to me. I don't want to screw Journey, but you all like I said are either going to a future show or buying anyhow..

Give it a rest.

And no, I would not advertise any swapping of albums in this particular forum.

The answer to your question is yes, it is illegal and tacky too. If you get multiple copies you should give one away to another fan who isn't going to a show.

Thanks for the advice. That's why I asked. I will give one away(I am going with someone who said I could have hers), so ...

The last thing I want to do is take monies from Journey. Thanks for the answers boys.

I appreciate the offer, but plaese do not upload the CD.
If you get an extra copy, send it to someone. I have a 'friend' sending me one of his extra copies. Then, when I get my copy from the concert, I will pass it on to someone else.
I think it is most important to get extra copies to fans who are NOT getting to a show (especially the UK fans), or to RADIO, or to people who might not "buy" new material because it does not have Perry.

Tackier to even ask the question here. Good ol Rock...still out buying affection!

What is with your date Rock? She must not care about Journey but is going for your fabulous company!!

Geez Deano, are you sending $35 on a weekly basis.

This thread is is a good study in the thought process of a toad, as my sister would say.

A toad? The guy simply wants to help fellow Journey fans get a copy of the CD sooner. And he wants to give a little back to Andrew. What's wrong with that?

Know what Andrew? Me or Her. Decide already. I think I at least bring in some conversation. What, just what exactly, does "she" bring to the table? dissention? Bias? Jealousy?

Make a decision. I am sick of this....

I am not the only one she pisses off. Iam just the one who answers her, and fights back.

You are trying, on Andrew's board, to cheat Journey, and you want me booted? I wonder if I can get Kenny to vouch for me. I think he like's me.

How am I cheating Journey? The CD is a giveaway. I am not uploading it and sharing it on Limewire or kazaa. I go to their shows, about 4-7 a year. I buy their gear. I buy all their CD's. I went to the Walk of fame. Don't you dare tell me I cheat Journey.

Cheating Journey? How about you bringing in your venom because "that ex singer guy" isn't here anymore?

I'm waiting.....

Like......SEVEN Journey shows a year? Do you share your ticket budget with any other groups? Tell me...what year did you see 7 shows?

The c.d is not a giveaway Deano. It's included in the price of the ticket. Some people will not bother going to the concert to hear Journey's Greatest if they can get a free c.d. from a loyal Journey fan.

Right, so if someone has an extra copy it is bought and paid for. That person can give it away if they want to...atleast the Journey fans are not out there Selling it for a profit!

I doubt that will happen. I do not see a lot of people saying "I am gonna go to the Journey show only because I get a CD". If that were the case, that person could wait and buy the CD for $25 instead of paying $45 and up for a ticket...

And this is NOT simply a Greatest Hits show. Journey will be performing music spanning their entire career. it will include pre-Perry material that has not been played live since 1978. The show will also include new material. You love pointing out that the material Journey has released since Perry left, is not a 'hit'. On top of that, there may be guest appearances which will obviously change the version of the songs played. So there is more variety in this show than most of the past years. THIS is a Journey event!!

The idea of attending so many shows for just one band in a year was interesting and I HONESTLY wished to explore that. I do not see how that was 'baiting" anyone. I have enjoyed much of Rocks input early on and it is fun to do a little sparring with him. Of late, he seems a bit more difficult to get along with BUT.........

So I do not understand your need to intervene at this level Andrew. Especially when days of SLAUGHTER between various fans was left ignored. This is odd

Oh well

Perhaps I, and others, are just bored of the constant bickering. Sparr by all means, but nothing in recent days seems remotely good natured.

More expelled insincereity from the Journey board's resident queen of lies.

Suuuuure, and I bet you are also here to innocuously commemorate Steve Perry's time with the group, right?

Drop the facade and go the fuck away already.

You add nothing of substantive value to this place.
