Augeri sounds really comfortable on this track - as he did on "Kiss me Softly". I kinda think this will be the type of song that you need to hear in entirety several times to appreciate. I really dig the chorus already though - pretty intense.

Soulful, moody, intense,......clearly not your typical trite "boy meets girl" bubblegum ballad.
Neal has been true to his word and has finally delivered to us fans, "ESCAPE 2000", (as promised in 1998) at long last.

This is what "Arrival" was touted as being.
As pretty good as that particular album was, I can already tell this is going to be better.
Just more inspired.

Musically speaking, ES4P3, was all over the map.
This seems to be an ambitiously intrepid hodge podge, as well.

This song reminds me of pre-ESC4P3 Journey, with Augeri using Perry-ish vocal techniques, apparent from the first moment of the song -- "So long ago-ooo..." This one along with TPIYH have the trademark Journey sound stampled on them.

I don't hear that at all.
The only track so far where I hear a deliberate invoking of Perry-ish vocal inflections and parlance is on Dean's track (and even there I am not so sure if it is concious effort or just Dean being Dean).

I'm not saying Augeri is trying to sound like Perry, just that the way he sings this song reminds me of the way Perry sang the slower Journey tunes. JMHO.

I really like this song too. It is reminiscent of the pre-Escape era of Journey. It seems a little more 'grand' for lack of a better word. Atmospheric....

No!

But it will be available later in www.journeyswag.com

The release date 'for the world' is August 29th. The cd from the shows is an early gift to say Thank You.
