Better Together

Postby Rockindeano » Thu Jun 30, 2005 12:58 pm

I am listening to this fabulous CD called Generations, so only those who have it can help me..

The lyrics sound to me that it's not about a guy and a girl; this is about the band, Journey.

Take a look:

They said it wouldn't last, we proved them wrong
We would rather fly above the storm
Cause we always knew we belonged
We're Better together

We had our backs against the wall
Somehow we survived through it all
Knowing I'll be there if you should fall
We're better together

Yeah it's a song about a couple, but those lyrics sure do paint the picture of a new solid Journey that needs to Be together...

Much like "Signs Of Life":

"It’s been forty days since I heard from you this waiting game...
You put me through
I feel the silence... killing me... day to day
Losin’ hope, I lose myself, it’s got me thinkin’
there’s someone else
We need to talk... You give me metaphors,
by the way...
What are you tryin’ to say"

Always seemed like that was directed at Perry...

And "Higher Place":

"I am on the outside looking in
To a place where I will be
Let me give you what you need from me
I surrender my soul to you
And my heart is pounding
And my head is spinning, ‘round and ‘round again"

Sounds like a message from Augeri about joining Journey.

Aw, I see. Spending your entire morning going over old posts in which I spoke highly of Generations. Your pathetic, but I'll speak up now as well.

I did like Generations. Thought it was great. I thought SA sounded great on it. I am not going to change my feelings on it. Love the sound, the guitar and even SA sounded good.

However, I reserve the right to change my mind, especially after speculation has turned into fact. I can't even listen to this CD anylonger. It sickens me.

Great move Moron, keep bringing up old posts and sparking the fire. I will always fan the flames. Is that your objective? To get this forum shut down so the news won't travel? You are too late. It's out there.

You just said up there "who gives a shit" if we had any augeri era material.

Back then, before I sent you The Greek it was a fabulous cd.

Now don't wait for a handfed spin reply from an apartment in philadelphia, address this flop for yourself.

So you admit you're the ventriliquist behind a good amount of his replies?

Oh, boy that was a quick re-think of a physical challenge TNC.

Dude, I don't understand why it's wrong for me to change my feelings on something when what I discovered soured me on them.

So if you were a Barry Bonds fan 15 yrs ago, you NEED to remain one today?

Pathetic. keep em coming. This is too easy.

PS, Andrew will be up in 2 hours.

Dean. You are expecting too much from some on this board. Not everyone has the desire to think about something.

You two need to get drunk and fight this out
or something.
Come on boys no one enjoys seeing you this way.
Well I don't think anyone does.

Don't worry, Moonie. Once the Journey/DL tour comes to its triumphant end with no evidence of fakery, all will be forgotten.

Not gagging for it on this end, either.

What's w/ your puppet master coming in here dropping a challenge and then deleting it so fast my head spun?

It was for the 2 people who act that pantomime out.

No, the "actors" are Neal and Augeri and Cain. They're the real actors.

That's actually a good line. But it is incorrect. Your summation is that Augeri has been lip-synching which means HE is the actor. But the music has not been taped so Jon and Neal would not be...

Not you, apparantly TNC posted a response and then he deleted it before most of us saw it.

Not really Dave. Neal knows Augeri is lipping. Cain knows Augeri is lipping. Hell, they all know. So does Kevin and Irving and Consolo. they are all actors. Heck, even the hardcore people who deny here are actors.

Sorry Deano but that's thin. Now if Neal and Jon were to be surprised at the revelation like "Gosh, I had no idea!"...then THAT would be acting. Right now they are just ignoring it. If someone asks and they deny it, that would be acting. Until then, it would all be on Steve.

Honestly, I hope it's not true. I would hate to see Journey taken down and thought to be a band that has stooped so low as to use tapes to get them through.

Don't worry. They are not better or worse than 95% of bands out there as far as that goes.

Yeah. Everybody cheats so it's ok. What a morally relativist point of view.

Moral or not, I believe it's sad for Journey to be reduced to using a tape.
They were the standard of rock arena performance.

It is not moral at all for them to do it without telling the ticket buyers before hand.
