I sold my outstanding Journey seats for Boston show

Postby JourneyTroll » Wed Jul 06, 2005 12:39 am

I had two Journey presale tickets for their Bank of America Pavilion show in Boston on August 20. When I purchased the tickets, I was thrilled because I had seats in Section 2 and within the first 7 rows. The seats are super close to the stage.

Alas, I decided to sell the tickets because I have already seen Journey several times. In addition, I really don't want to see Journey play for a 3 hour plus show. Moreover, my girlfriend doesn't dig Journey at all, and she would be my only choice to take to any concert. Perhaps, I would ask someone as cool as Joe Reardon to attend. Finally, I haven't heard any of Journey's new album, Generations, so I can't state if the music is good or not.

Anyone else sell their Journey tickets? Anyone know how I can listen to Journey's Generations? Should I just wait until the album is in stores?

JT...the setlist you see now (while I do like it) could be very different from the one the guys play in Boston. I think you jumped the gun a bit my friend...;)

He has a gun?

If there was ever a good excuse for more gun control laws, this is it.

I thought you had to pick up your pre-sale tix at the show itself?

Hi Eric,

This was the clearchanneldotcom presale. I found out about it and got two great seats at $55 each plus other fees. I just didn't want to be stuck at a 3.5 hour Journey concert listening to songs from their first three albums. Plus, someone else mentioned that Steve Augeri is now the part-time singer and part-time stool sitter in concert. Finally, my girlfriend isn't a Journey fan, and I don't want to take her to a concert that she wouldn't enjoy.

Hey genious, why don't you do the math...Show up an hour late and see only 2.5 hours of Journey.

As for your girlfriend not liking Journey.. I would dump her..like yesterday. Does she know you cheat on her with Bono?

I read a post from Troll that said his only choice of smeone to go to a gig with was his girlfriend.

Why would you pay $110 dollars + fees, for 2 tickets to a band that the only person that you could go with doesn't even like the band?????

To me 3.5 hours of Journey live has got to be a bonus, if I go and see a band I want them on for a s long as possible. That's why you've paid the money. Can't believe a long concert could put anyone off. Strange!!

No offense Andrew, but that is a dumb phrase. I hope that phrase only has a short shelf life. Why are my comments considered dumb by you, yet when I stopped posting here, others continued to personally attack each other?

Everyone I am not "Taking the Piss" as Andrew elegantly stated. Instead, I am asking questions and giving comments about Journey.

Hi Mamos,

I bought the tickets from a clearchanneldotcom presale, and thought Journey would be an ideal "date concert". I know many women loved Journey when Steve Perry was in the band. When I found out that Journey would be playing material from their pre-Perry albums, I knew I wouldn't enjoy the concert as much. Plus, my girlfriend shared with me that she was never a fan of Journey's and would not want to waste three hours of her time attending their concert.

If you don't like a band's music, 3 hours feels like ten hours.

There's no way, I would attend a Journey concert with a guy...except maybe Joe Reardon...so I sold the tickets. I'm happy with my decision, and I felt like sharing this with others. That's why people do on message boards...isn't it.
