Be honest. And add a comment after you vote, please.
As for moi, I'd feel elated.

And what if the good lord Jesus returned back to Earth?
Or how about, if Dinosaurs re-roamed the planet which one would u want to ride and why?
If Amelia Earheart came back, what would u first like to ask her?
Any more inane questions?
Oh, and to answer the question, I'd feel none of the above.
In fact, I'd feel terrified, as I'd realize that I am dellusional, probably suffering from heat stroke and on the verge of a fatal brain aneurism.
It's just not happening.

That is correct. The second and third options are the same and I went the lesser of those evils.
I want him away from Journey in every way shape and form. I just cannot see or hear Perry fronting Journey right now on something such as The Place In Your Heart.

I tried to change the third option to Depressed, but I couldn't. Don't know why.
Anyway. I think you all are not being honest. JMO.
And Noble Cause: Jesus was never on earth, therefore he can't return.
Edit: Okay, just change Worried to Depressed in the poll. Pretend it's Depressed.

How do you figure Jesus was never on earth?

So is the notion of a 60 year old Steve Perry coming out of retirement (without having lost an octave), but that ain't stopping you.

I don't think you want to go there. And you need not say that like you are the holder of all truth. The New Testament can be fiction and a man called Jesus who had a following and was crucified could still have been on earth. I think there is evidence the man, Jesus, existed. Believing he is/was the son of God--that's a different story.
The point is your premise regarding Perry and his vocal abilities is a HUGE premise.

The only thing fictitious is Soledad and his imbred brother Soledad?..
I like how the options in your "poll" (see Perry asskiss), you didn't give us the option of-- No Way; Get the fuck outta here; Are you high?; ..
Personally, I would stop being a Journey Fan, and stop being a Neal Schon fan, because that would mean Neal is a big pussy to let in the big Liar in...
No thank you...
Your poll: Don't know how to fix it? Simply, unstick it, and write a new one, complete with fair options, not Perry biased ones..
The Bible is fictitious.. shaking my head..

LOL.
Yes, for those of us in touch with reality, please do us this favor and add that option. It'd be much appreciated.

I am not voting.
I would be like Deeno...pissed at Neal for caving.
I would listen to it before deciding on the material, but I would likely stop supporting the "band".

I love you 28, but I am Dean(o), and Deeno plays the drums
Get it together slacker!

I can't see Neal ever giving up his front seat to any really good vocalist to front this new Journey band. Deen will never be frontman. He might get all the attention and Neal will continue being "the other guy." He could have hired some great talent 7 years ago but that would have placed him right back there in the shadows again. Where he will take this band, remains to be seen but it appears that instead of fame, he will be imfamous for reducing the band to obscurity.

Aww, I thought you could reply with some intelligence but I was wrong about you..again!
They already have a great vocalist, so that theory is dismissed. And the new guy actually shows up for work! Imagine that!
LOL, reducing Journey to obscurity..too funny. Well, they are playing to 10K per night, and getting great reviews, and if Journey is so obscure, why are you here posting about them?
Add HOTS to the pathetic list.

No need, he has Steve.
heardonthestreet wrote:Deen will never be frontman. He might get all the attention and Neal will continue being "the other guy."
He has already said that he is NOT a frontman. Deen said he would have to have a podium and his eyes closed.
heardonthestreet wrote:He could have hired some great talent 7 years ago
Who do you suggest? I am curious who you think could/should have done this job with Perry not available. Of course NOBODY within the band has said that Steve is NOT talented. NO ONE has intimated that his job is in danger. NO ONE has not supported him. But I am still curious who you think should have been hired?
heardonthestreet wrote:but that would have placed him right back there in the shadows again.
So you are saying that anyone Neal and Jon hired would become an imposing dictator taking control of the band and not allowing the founder of Journey to do what he wants? I think that could only happen once!
heardonthestreet wrote:Where he will take this band, remains to be seen but it appears that instead of fame, he will be imfamous for reducing the band to obscurity.

I don't see how you can come to that conclusion. They have done nothing but increase their visibility and their popularity in the last 7 years.

I put the middle one. IT would be nice to have the voice of Rock back. For one show. A farwell show. BUT I think neal would have to sign the band away if Perry ever agreed to do one show. I do not want Perry back as a regular. Just one show. But the ramafications of that.........Augeri is far better in Journey that Perry was at the end, (ROR forward). Generations is my third favorite Journey cd, behind Escape and Hits, so I guess you could say it's really my second fav.-ERIC
NO TO PERRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I picked the middle one too, only b/c the question said he still had his vocal ability. If the question asked how I would feel with Perry rejoining Journey the way he sounded on TBF, I would say no way. The last two Journey albums with Perry blew. The current Journey has put out an incredible album and is touring to suport it, and is getting along great. I have no doubt this would be a huge seller if today's musical landscape was different, and this kind of music was in demand from young people.

I love Steve Perry, but to hear him come back and sing Lights in the key of B or Faithfully in G just wouldn't be worth it. That's three and four keys lower than the original pitches of those songs in case you are wondering. I love the old and new Journey.

Pissed! should be the fourth choice--at Neal and Jon for letting Perry come back to screw them over yet again.
I don't think they'd ever let that happen, although they may not be able to come out and say that, or may feel that they can't say it.

I would welcome Steve Perry back into Journey with "Open Arms." The majority of the fans attending Journey's concerts love the songs that were originally sung by Steve Perry. Those songs are the classics that many fans know the lyrics and have great memories of them.
Steve Perry wouldn't have to sing the songs like he did before for me to be happy!

Very mixed feelings. As much as I'd love to hear Steve sing those songs again, in whatever key he's comfortable with, I don't want him with the band given the circumstances that have transpired since TBF. I doubt that the old magic would be there after all that's happened. There's too much contaminated water under that bridge. It needs to be burned. I don't want him with them, and I don't want them without him. I'd rather have the magical musical legacy they gave us stay intact.

Well, perish that thought. Journey's moved on as of June, 1998 like it or lump it.
I happen to like it.

I AM one of those who has always thought that Neal was careful not to hire someone who might become a star on his own with the hope that HE might become the household name for a change. By God, he's confirmed it!!!
he must have been getting worried cause now everyone is singing.

Who said JRNY had to hire a "star" as a singer
