I was playing along with it the other night and the shot of Neal playing the intro to WITS is basically a lesson. You can see every chord perfectly. Sweet!

I agree....I've been working on some Journey stuff and it shows the intro to Lights perfectly. Just got that DVD on Tuesday of this week. I also love how Neal plays all of his signature solos like the recordings. I'm a huge Ritchie Blackmore fan, but one of the downsides is he never plays any solo like on the albums.

Yep....just because he can. Yet, paradoxically they are unmistakably new live recordings. The guy is brilliant. Replicating those solos with a distinclty live vibe.

Also, I love to going out, and there is "a band" playing...No one is around and I start playing Faithfully or Open Arms on the keys..the band gets all fried, but, the chicks there want to hang out with me, not the stupid band...Pisses them off to no end.....

Of course I tel them I am closer to the Band Journey than I really am..so? I got some!

I tell them learn to play those tunes, you dumb bastards!

I just sang Faithfully for the first time in ten years Thursday night. My singer did Open Arms then I launched into Faithfully. Im a keyboardist/vocalist also but I love to play lead and rythym guitar. I love guys like Neal Schon, Gary Moore, Blackmore, Clapton and Santana because they have great tone and melody. What was it I read Santana say?? " I learned from my heroes, they have great tone and (because of that) so do I".
