1) Theres only 1 Steve and its not Perry
2) Deen sounds more like Perry than Perry
3) Neal Schon is the most underrated guitarist of alltime
4) $7.50 for a beer $3 for a dog and $4 for a pretzel is out of order
5) Ross cannot sing
6) 3 hours of the most polished note perfect instrumentation you could ask for.......i was pleading with someone to at least drop 1 note.
7) Jonathan Cain sounds better live than he does on the cd when he sings.
8) The Ford Ampitheater is impressive...only gripe is people constantly moving out of the seats to go for a pee or get a beer......for god sakes stay seated Journey are on stage
9) It was darn hot.......80 degrees even with the sun down.
10) JOURNEY KICK ASS BIGTIME............

Goodnite and farewell

Glad u enjoyed yourself, man!
I agree about Jon. He does sound sound better doing "Every Generation" live than on the cd.
I will tell yah what about Ross....when he sang "Walks Like a Lady" from the Departure record during last summer's tour I thought his bluesy delivery was cool...different, but I still dug it.
HOWEVER, when he sang this year (doing Gone Crazy) he sounded abhorrently bad. Totally put a halt to the show. Maybe it's him, maybe it's just the song. Either way, I agree he should stick to bass. Let Jon, Deen and Steve sing for this band.

$6.00 a beer in Hollywood, FL which was bad enough! Ross did She's Gone Crazy instead and Deen didn't sing any lead vocals. How many Generatiions songs were played in Tampa?

I don't get this..Deen is amazing, yet doesn't sing..Ross sounds like Grape Ape, and he gets the mic..wtf?

Perhaps Deen has got throat issues?

If not though, can someone explain why A Better Life is not being showcased? That is one of the more radio friendly numbers on Gens...

A few dates into this tour it was announced Deen had some throat issues (strept or something) and he decided to rest his voice for awhile there (doing strictly back-ups).
Even when he resumed singing lead in AC he was ducking some high parts.
Still one helluva voice!

However, for the concert I was at, Augeri was the reigning superlative vocalist!
Which is in direct contrast to last year when Deen blew Auggie right out of the water!
Still a good show though.

I agree Jon does sound better live, I think he has greatly improved due to the amount of singing he's done on this tour. Very good on the old Rolie sang tunes.

 He does. But I like Gone Crazy...there's just no reason for him to sing anything OTHER than Gone Crazy.
