Pick 1 member of Journey................

If you could interview only one member of the current members of Journey to have a sit down in front of a camera interview, who would you pick?

Let's say it's a 20 minute interview, what questions would you ask that person?

Just wondering who the most popular person of the current line-up is and why :) Thanks in advance :)

You really want to know? I would pick Perry, and ask him the questions no one else will.

No more softball lobs..serious questions..

Well, it would have to be Neal Schon. He's been in this band longer than anybody, so I would probably ask him:

1. What type of success would Journey have had if they had remained a rock fusion, progressive band?
2. Which guitar is his favorite to play and why that particular guitar over the others?
3. How far would he like to go with Soul Sirkus?
4. How does he feel about rock bands, like INXS, going the "reality tv show" route to land lead singers?
5. If Journey called it quits now, which other musicians, other than the guys in SS, would he like to collaborate with?
6. How does he feel about sports teams using Journey's material?
7. What does he think about Steve Perry getting invited to the World Series because of Don't Stop Believing?
8. Would he ever consider touring with Boston and Kansas?
9. Would he please give me an autographed guitar from his personal collection?

Yes, I really would like to know. It can't be Steve Perry or any member that is not currently touring with Journey.

Who's next on your list?

Thanks Greggie, great questions :)

Probably Neal. He'd have the most to say and wouldn't censor one single expeletive ladden second of it.

Shit, maybe I should actually read the question before I get all riled up...

I would interview Irving Azoff.....O boy would I!

I agree with Greg.
I'd ask more about his craft than the other BS. I mean the guy is a virtuoso...I'd love to ask him questions about his childhood when he first started playing the guitar. If it was frowned upon by his family, if they were indifferent, or if they encouraged him.
And...if he considered Santana vs. Clapton vs. Santana vs. Clapton....must have been a sleepless night....

I have a couple of questions I would like to ask Jon...but in this situation, I would have to say Neal. I could ask him the same questions as Jon anyway.

Interview, RockNDeano not Interrogation or The Irving Inquisition.

My thoughts exactly. Neal puts it right there on the table, the way he sees it. I'd ask him if the gag order will ever be lifted, and when, and then I'd ask him how could you keep it secret for so long that the hip thing was fake? I'd ask "How could you allow yourself to be held hostage like that?"

Then I'd like to talk to Steve Augeri. First, I'd thank him for giving up a large part of his home life to help move the Journey forward, then I'd ask him if he is truly aware of all the fans he has aquired on his own?

Then, maybe, I'd want to know why he lets people like Perry push him around, as evidenced by Perry's snubby comments about Steve. Sometimes being nice is best left to other circumstances.

Hmmm.... since I've already participated in an interview of Jon and Neal... I'd have to say Ross, that would be quite fun I think. Have to ponder a bit on what the questions would be.

Yes, where was it revealed that JY is a "legend"? Ha Ha.

Angie, read the Generations interviews on MR.com and go to Ross'. He made some comment in there.

Only in JY's mind. Hence his self appointed "reluctant legend" nickname.

Randy Jackson would blow the white off JY's fat ass.

JY may be a great guy, who knows, but have you ever seen anyone who acted more pompous on stage?

That's partly what made Perry better than DeYoung, Lou Gramm, and Kevin Cronin, as well as everybody else. He WAS popmpous, because he was that good. Those other guys were scrubs compared to Perry.
