Do you just have NO sense of humor? I know you do not post here often so I understand that you do not know certain people's posting habits. But this was very obviously a joke on Nora's part.

A very funny perspective Nora! I laughed, I cried, I pee'd my pants....;)

Journey is making the road trip to Houston. At least Steve Perry, the former lead singer of the band is coming along as part of the White Sox family.

The group's 1981 hit Don't Stop Believin'' has become the unofficial theme song of the White Sox, and club vice president for communications Scott Reifert tracked down Perry to bring him to Games 1 and 2 of the World Series in Chicago.

Reifert said Perry was invited into the clubhouse after Sunday's game and players urged him to come to Houston. He called the club Monday to say he'd join them there.

PF, you should really use quotations so as not to seem the words are coming straight from you..I know these came from an article, but others may not..

I say, screw CHSOX...

Houston is NOT dead yet.

Here is the entire article:

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/baseball/playoffs/2005-10-24-white-sox-garland_x.htm

"Believin':

Aaron Rowand :
"And no, we aren't getting tired of "Don't Stop Believin'." It doesn't matter how often they play it. Why would we get tired of it? It really works. We'll take it any way we can get it.

Steve [Perry, the former Journey lead singer] was here for these two games, and he might go to Houston. If we can win games like this when he's here, we'll have him come to every game.

You know what? He'll be our Grand Marshal of the parade, God willing it happens."

Hey OhSherrie, notice how the writer mentions Perry (the former lead singer of Journey) and that DSB is 'the groups' hit? ;)

Yeah, I noticed that Dave. I guess you're happy now. I'll be happy if the Chisox get through this inning with their lead intact. :)

I'd be even more happy if I didn't have to look at Big Mama Bush every time I watch the batter. :(

Grand Marshal of the PARADE??? WOW...a fitting place for the "ambassador."

Just when you think there is nothing Perrywise to look forward to, something else comes up! Here's hoping the sox win tonight and ON TO THE PARADE! WHOOOOOOOOHH!

So it took an unlikely BASEBALL scenario for this to happen? Got it..

God, this is funny. Perry has been relegated to a good luck charm. Maybe they can clip him on the end of their keychain.

from nick,
as a diehard cubs fan, who would probably not root for the sox, but let's face it, chicag has been such a loser town for baseball, you can't help but get caught up in this sox thing, it is the strangest thing to see my favorite singer of all time next to frank sinatra, becoming such a focal point in this deal with the sox, it is almost hard to believe that he is actually there at these games and if this does make him sing in public again, what a story, i still wish it were the cubs, but the chances of the cubs winning are about as good as perry singing again, or maybe not

It is fun, but I do not think it will have any influence on whether or not he sings again! I think he is comfortable in icon status

Perry always said that he would sing again if he found a reason to and had something to sing about. GO WHITE SOX!

Are you on crack? That is your believed reasoning? Dude says he's a GIANTS fan...they are from San Francisco, 1,941 miles away from Cellular field on the south side of Chicago..No darlin', this wasn't his calling..sory.
