Why can't our favorite classic rock groups be heard on the radio. It's not because we don;t ask for it's because...

Abs, I will definitely cut you some slack because you are the coolest dude on here, and katrina was such a bitch to you.

While you were out, we hashed this thing out.

I agree, basically it's taking money to play a disc.

But there is more..

How many times do I need to tell you folks..Radio sucks. it will never be relevant again, unless it's sports talk, sporting events, or news.

Earlier this year, I heard something that sums up why I hate and don't listen to rock radio. I tune in once in awhile just for a minute but I don't drive around with it on. A DJ started talking about how great Mark Knopfler's new album was, then proceeded to play Sultans of Swing for the one millionth time. I couldn't believe it I just shook my head. That station has become the new jack format which is an improvement, but despite the radical new format, I doubt you will hear any new Journey (or for that matter any other bands I listen to, many of which are on Frontiers records.)

Regardless of the way the industry is, I still feel Journey's promotional team (whomever they may be)...are NOT 'pro-active' ENOUGH in using other media avenues to insure their NEW material gets heard! :? They are doing a very poor job, as far as I see it. I'm beginning to wonder if the guys are even concerned about this...

I'm wondering about that too Jetster. Did you think they really seemed very excited about this cd in any of the interviews about it? Even the way they recorded and distributed it seemed sort of "oh well, we did it, now here it is" to me.

Based strictly on the quality of the music, as compared to the crap that does get attention these days, absolutely.

Why do you say that? I didn't mean it that way. I think the music on this cd is better than most of what I've heard in several years. I just wanted to qualify my answer to make sure everyone knew I was basing my opinion on the music and nothing else. Maybe I didn't say it right, sorry.
