'80s Memorabilia

Hey all..... 8)

Earlier today, my parents dropped by my house, carrying a milk-crate FULL of old notebooks, music, etc. - they said that it was in the attic; it was all mine; please take it.

So, I dumped the whole thing out:

...and it was like time-traveling back to 1982-1983

I found:

2 half-dollar size CONCERT PINS (remember those?)

~ one of the "Frontiers" album cover w/ "Journey" writtern below it.
~ the other was a close up of Steve from the "Escape" era: iconic shot; mic in right hand, left hand in air, eyes closed, most likely holding a long note.... (I thought they were gone FOREVER.....my mom threw out a ton of Journey stuff one day....)

2 "Journey Force" Newsletters - one that showed Steve singing at Neal's wedding.

And, an article about how Steve was going in a different direction - as a producer (the "spin" is laughable now, regarding how all the guys in Journey are "best buds")

So:

Anyone else have "lost treasures" out there??

Do tell.... 8)

Not to rain on your parade, BUT....

The Escape and Frontiers pragrams were made half-assed. The pics are super-imposed, and are backwards in many instances.

I have pics of the Great Neal Schon playing the guitar both left handed, AND right handed..I know he isn't that gifted. Look at the Perry photo and study it...look at his face..he seems to have 2 moles on the front/right side of his face..if these are on the left, you know that these pics were done with magical photography...

OMG, I envy you Nora, what a wonderful trip though nostalgia. :)

The only truly nostalgic thing I have is my daughter's sheet music. She played Oh Sherrie, Foolish Heart and She's Mine for piano recitals. I guess everyone could tell her mom's a Perry fan

Anyone WANT a Raised on Radio "Tails" jacket? I have one..It's off white with black trim, and the CD logo on the back

Pretty sharp...

They sold it at the shows

I know what you mean.....but, this pin photo **looking at it right now** is the "correct" image...the mole/ freckle things are on the right-hand side of his face.

I just remembered another thing I had - that I KNOW is long-gone:

an 8 x 10 glossy of Steve during the "Frontiers" tour - wearing the dark shirt with the white jacket/shirt thing over it w/ the ripped sleeves rolled up.

Talk about "half-assed" - somebody did a HORRENDOUS job of trying to "dupe" Steve's very unique signature on the bottom right! LOL

Well I guess it's yours and you can do whatever you see fit. But I'm just not into profiting from sales dealing with SP or the band. I sure wouldn't sale anything I have. I have this ownership thing...and I only give to friends or family; too many profiteers. Next week you'll see it on ebay. Where's the nostalgia? It's yours. Keep it.

I was quite young when Journey was really big in terms of memorabilia and stuff, but I do have a couple of things that might be worth mentioning.

A working copy of the Atari 2600 Escape game (along with over 100 other games, but let's not get off topic)

Captured and Escape on 8-track (I consider 8s to be memorabilia unless they're bought/collected to be played)

I USED to have a pin with the Journey logo on it about seventeen years ago or so - I had a huge pin collection and this was one I got from one of my cousins - in later years I realized it was the In The Beginning cover.
