Yeah, this guy's pretty good. When it comes to Journey covers, people tend to immediately think of Hugo, but I think Jeremy's got Hugo beat. Easily.

I know Hugo LOOKS a hell of a lot like Perry. Combine Jeremey and Hugo and you would have quite the Perry doppelganger.

Jeremey, you ever freak people out by going to Karaoke and doing Journey tunes? I know I would if I could sing like that.

I'm not sure I agree about Hugo's looks, but that's irrelevant anyway. I've ALWAYS thought Jeremy had the best voice. Maybe I'll be able to download these tracks overnight(damn dialup).

Thanks for listening you guys. I ripped these tracks from a rough mix on CD I had when I was doing the DVD earlier this year....The original tracks were 48khz .wav files, then they were downsampled to 44khz when burned to CD, then compressed extra when I shrunk them down to .wma files (my opinion a better sounding compression than .mp3). So I burned a copy of the .wma files to CD earlier today and listened to the mix in the car. Needless to say they sound like a tin can compared to the original 48k .wav files, but I guess good enough for PC speakers.

Just got these posted because I wanted to do something to promote next week's show in Cleveland to our mailing list, and we've never had a full length anything on our site. Since the publishing company made us take our demo video down the only idea people have of us are from the small little audio clips on our site. Figured it'd be cool to have something more representative on our site of our show.

As far as Jeremey and Hugo goes, or anyone else in a tribute band for that matter - We're all doing the same thing up there. It's entertainment, and I don't pretend that it's anything but that. The true embodiment of what we do can only really be experienced at the venue, singing along with the music, and holding your lighers (or cell phones) up in the air - What we do isn't meant to be laid out and examined on the internet...It's the experience that counts, and I can't say I know of anyone that's ever left a Frontiers or Evolution show disappointed.

Not me, that's for sure! I remembered the shock on my friends' faces when I heard Jeremey sing the opening lines of Seperate Ways. First time I had ever heard Jeremey's band, I was simply dumbfounded. I knew there were tribute bands out there, but not as good as Frontiers in my opinion.

I like to see/hear Jeremy sing his own original material. He does a good job of covering Journey...its obvious that he has really studied Perry's tendencies. I actually think his performance would improve if he would free himself up a bit...he really seems to be "forcing it" in places. Musically, it sounds pale, distant, even tinny in places. Not trying to be negative...just my honest opinion.

Thanks Calbear for listening. I do write original material and have since I was 15 years old, but at the age of 34, it seems more and more impossible to find the time to do that kind of thing in my so-called "free time." As for being forced, I know what you mean - If there's one thing I'd like to be more conscientious of, it's "Going For It" far too often. My voice is pretty much my voice, but there are moments where in hindsight, I wish I had a bit more restraint in my live performances. I guess that comes from only performing a few times each month, and getting the 'ol adreneline going.

Eric, that's a pretty good day trip for us. We may be playing at Vanderbilt in Nashville later this spring, but Memphis may be quite a trip....I'll look into it though!

I downloaded the tracks and listened to a couple of them last night before I went to bed. I had wanted to go to that concert back in March, because I believe it was around the time of my birthday, but for some reason, I couldn't make it. Anyways, it's good stuff man!

I heard that too but he is good great singing. The guys are all good the only one I can
t stand is the drummer. The feels are totally wrong on some of these songs, especially Lights. He's playing on top of the beat too much on these songs. I would kill him if he was in my band.

Greggie, thanks a lot. Did you see us when we played with Kansas last year? Hopefully our next show in the southwest VA area will be April 22, we are going to buy out the Roanoke Civic Center auditorium for the night and do an Evening with Frontiers there. It's too hard to play clubs locally, so it's best to save up all our local chips and do one or two big shows a year in the area.

Sherrie, we probably won't be doing Uncle Billys Days this coming year, and The Rail shut down last year. The new owners have renamed it "Shooters," but it is too hard to get a good deal from clubs when we play in town unless we buy a room and promote it ourselves, hence the Jefferson Center show this year and the Civic Center show next spring! For some reason clubs think you are a "local" band and don't have to pay anything, even though we've played 7 hours away in Atlanta twice as much as we've played in Roanoke over the past year.

That's good stuff, man. I've spent many a time attempting to sing like Steve Perry (indeed I nearly destroyed myself trying to sing to "Somethin' To Hide") to no avail. You do an admirable job.
