Sounds great, but kind of weird to not have a singer at a sports event.

Neal did overdo it in some places but in this interpretation he cut the ending short. Still sounds really really good. The basketball players don't seem to into it though. Which is odd because I always thought black people dug re-mixes.

Hey, give the man some credit. It's hard to "rock out" while remaining stationary at a keyboard. Just thank god he doesn't resort to the labored efforts of having a spinning keyboard ala fruityass Gowan.

Only Black people dig re mixes! I'm about to hurl with that statement.
That's like saying only black people drink Kool Aid! You can do better than that! Noble Cause you have lost major points with me on that one statement. I'm starting to lose respect for you.
And Neal...geez...Jon...come on...please...another sports arena! It's making them look like copycats!
Jon was a little hot number but come on; be original and do something of your own making. It's nice to be heard and applauded by a couple of thousands of fans; but come on...it makes you look so darn cheesy!

First of all, TNC didn't say ONLY black people dig remixes. And it was a joke with some truth embedded in it. Remove the pole from your ass.
And second of all, how does playing the SSB on national TV make them look cheesy? They didn't play with Britney Spears at the Super Bowl. They played an incredible rendition of the song, something they are known for during their tour this year. I am sure most of the crowd was blown away. Beats the hell out of one of the player's wives "interpreting" the song.

Oh, c'mon!
What's wrong with an injection of off-color humor every now and then?
If Don Rickles can get away with it, I contend that so, too, can every American.

I'll be the first to point and laugh when one of the guys looks stupid.
I really don't see it here.
Hell, Neal even made sure to keep the facial contortions to a minimum as he played.
What's so cheesy about this?

It always looks cheesy. Neal noodles the heck out of SSB and I think he is just getting a vicarious thrill, pretending that he's getting a standing ovation.

Oh I thought they looked fine for what they were doing. It just didn't seem like the audience was into the music, the men or the song. But then again I didn't see the audience; just the black players moving back and forth politely; probably cause it was an American national anthem and not what you would consider a rock and roll anthem.

Why weren't the lights dimmed, and spots on the two at halfcourt?
Neal really wanted to stretch you could see it in his wanting....That was phenominal.
As for players(blacks), not enjoying it? Are you surprised? Blacks don't like rock n roll? IN GENERAL TERMS....
easy PC'ers..
PS- As for being cheesy.. I would much rather watch a flawless performance of the Country's song, than some yellathon at a Chicago intersection that sounded like Grape Ape and Joe Cocker singing a duet.

You don't know who Grape Ape is? He is a cartoon legend..
60 foot tall purple gorilla who rode on top of a Ford econoline, which was driven by a Beagle named, Beagly Beagly.. Pretty funny shit.
Then Miguella Gorilla was born after this..

I don't think Schon overdid it....but I do think Cain looked kinda dopey. Not as dopey as on the Escape DVD when he was running around clapping his hands...BUT CLOSE

Absolutely agree with this statement. There's no comparison; it's Journey all the way.
Neal's rendition is awesome.
Since some of those dudes never finished school, maybe they've never heard of the SSB?
