Deano's "Journey" to Illinois - Long

These are a few pictures of Deano's trip to Illinois to see the Journey concert in Waukegan.

Image This is in the middle of the snow storm and Deano's playing his air guitar, which he brought to the concert. Notice, he didn't have a coat, is must be a California kind of thing - LOL

Image Oh gosh!! Deano met up with a bunch of the "Back Talkers" and it appeared he had a field day talking to them and about "their" site - LOL

Image This is from Packer Sunday, I think this was pitcher #3, beer and orange juice (ACK) it must be another California kind of thing. He didn't sip either, he drank each glass in one gulp.

Image This must be pitcher #6, it was still daylight and I think still first quarter of the game - LOL

Image I lost a bet to this guy, I thought for sure the Packers were going to win, luckily it was only a drink. He plays hockey, so they both talked pretty much of the day/night about hockey and more hockey.

Image

Image This is Dean's hand immediately after his bones shattered.

I don't know if the guys will appreciate the photos, but I had some serious throw downs on the way back from Chicago to LA.

OJ, Clinton, Bushie, the War, and Same sex marriages....I was front and centre, brawling with these two indian ho's from Lamy, NM...

More to come.

No, not at all. I was loud though.. I told him he looked like Jimmy Page. We talked about Perry. We agreed on the show....Ho Hum.... Then the BT'ers appeared, and my eyes lit up like saucers...I ditched kevin to make fun of those hags.

Everywhere we went that weekend Deano worked the room. I've never seen anyone find a way to talk to so many people. You were impressive. And I mean that in the best way.

I don't think I laughed so hard in a long time. And while I failed air guitar 101, I felt privileged to be watching an expert

I cna only imagine you on that train heading home.

Great pics, Suite! Nice to actually see Deano after all this time. You should post at least one photo of yourself.

Deano, I really hope you get good care for your hand.

I have pictures of him with the soft cast on his hand. I would imagine he will have good care for it.

Actually people(I would say friends, but that would sound like Tommy and I could never do that), I am embarrassed about my hand and the way I hurt it. I wish I could say I brawled with fans but no, it was a stupid thing to do, and I wish we would all let it go.....

Sems the carpal bone has been completely de-tached from the hand bone, and 2 smaller bones are "splintered to shit."

2 pins are needed to repair. There you go.

Lets move on......

Please?

OK. As long as you are taking care of it. And don't be embarrassed - you'll always remember your trip to Chicago!

Just one thing to keep in mind. Should Dean take the train anywhere to meet up with you (and I'd say that's a safe bet)...he will most likely eventually get tired after arrival. I know this first hand. Just as I know that when he gets tired...well his mind tends to wander...

upon catching him falling asleep, one discovers that he thinks about...and I quote here...

" I have to stop the heads". Not yet realizing that he was not with us any longer in a coherent way...I asked him to explain. He went on to say...

"Trucks! We have to wait for the trucks"!!!

Just a fair warning to anyone that one never knows exactly where Dean's mind wanders to...

Oh trust me, I am headed to Pennsy country...NIGGY is in B-More, 13 is in Philly, TNC is not too far away in Jersey.....Too fucking much fun..

The train is too relaxing...the reason I was exhausted is that we had a party from Albuquerque to Kansas City...Non stop boozin..I was trying to play Who's Cryin' Now on the piano in the lounge car, but just couldn't get it...

So I have issues..Doesn't everybody?

"Trucks! We have to wait for the trucks"!!!

I was so tired I was mixing in the heads and waiting for the trucks to get to the train to give us the US Mail to haul..no biggie...everyone confuses dreams..

Wow, I had no idea trains were so much fun.

Why do you pick April, Deano?

NealIsGod wrote:Wow, I had no idea trains were so much fun.

A couple of reasons NIGGY.

1) Funds...we all have a little time to save.
2) Slow time at work for me, so I can vacation
3) No snow..That shit is awful...
4) Time to recruit others to bring. I have a couple in mind
5) Vancouver is in Philly in April..I NEED to be there and be heard
6) Because I said so

PS- about snow..It is not that bad, it's just driving around in it blows. I did love it when on the train out alongside I-40, the Interstate was parked during the snow, and there were wrecks everywhere...I had a huge smile on my face when we blew past all those cars and trucks and buses at 80 MPH and blew snow all over the freeway..that was power in action..

You didn't stop in Denver did you?

No 28..We went from Albuquerque east through Raton Pass and turned north by Lamar Colorado, and LaJunta, CO....There was a bus from there to Denver via Pueblo.. I have been to Denver..Love it..IMO, along with San Diego, Minneapolis and Seattle, the best city in America.

Why you ask? You could have met me trackside and I could have thrown you some boots, right?

28, there is definitely a train through Denver...California Zephyr..Runs from the Bay Area to Chicago...I took an entirely different route.

Now, about the beer...we cleaned out the Lounge car...seriously, they had to restock beer in Kansas City..Usually that never happens! On the way home, a couple of us got off during the hour stop in Albuquerque and hit the liquor store..You're not supposed to bring your own booze onboard, but the attendant looked the other way as I was an employee...I stuffed 12 packs in every baggage compartment known, and bottles of Yaeger into closets.....Put it this way, it got so rowdy, a couple girls flashed me, and I got pics of them on my cell phone...I can prove it to..anyone want the pics let me know.
