Ok, some thought here.
Herbie is managing SoulSirkus right?
Well, if SS is dead, what do you think Herbie will do? Is he managing other bands at this time, as well?
Of course I am trying to connect Herbie as an out of work manager to a possible Journey post.
Question: Is Barack Mgt(Azoff) contractually signed for a period of time? I am not sure if it is like a sports star who signs for X number of years?
28, TNC, you know this answer?
I really honestly think Herbie could do major damage if He took over the reigns again. And then if he did take over, and they were still stagnant, we would probably know that the band just doesn't want to go full throttle anylonger; been there, done that...55 yrs old is not 25 yrs old...
How old is Herbie, anyone know?
PS, Andrew, I would love your take on this, but understand if you can't comment..

I believe HH would go the extra mile for Journey, whatever going the extra means in order to make this band commerically successful again.

What are you up so early for Greggie?
Thanks for the reply. I think herbie would produce for the boys, results they want.....The music is definitely good enough to be sure.
One added twist. IF, Perry wanted back in(God help us), and Augee wanted out, I wonder if Herbie would make it happen? Or walk away?
Lots to talk about here.

My question is why isn't Herbie the manager now? Either he or some in the band must have differed on the direction of the post Perry band.

Herbie was not the manager for SS. There was some mention of HH helping to work out a particular deal for them. HH has said he is not interested in managing any band.

Herbie said in the Castles Burning interview he had no desire to get out there and manage Journey, I think he said something like it was "too much like work." He also spoke very highly of Azoff, and he really is widely seen as the best in the business, though I believe Azoff's staff is largely handling Journey (Tom Consolo et al). He said something about putting together the Vegas DVD as a final act of mercy, or something like that. I don't think you'll find Herbie managing ANYONE at this point, and don't think he was ever really seriously up for the Soul Sirkus job.

I think it's dead and will not be revived. Too bad for the singer...Jeff; he
did not see it coming. I don't think any manager could pump new life into
a band that has already succumbed. Neal's not interested and he was the
reason Soul Sirkus...as least I think...ever came to be.

Yeah, she has it going on. Good luck with the nudies. That reminds me of Catherine Bosley. You know her?

LAWoman,
Neal made reference that HH was coming on as SS' manager.
But now Neal is saying SS is pretty much dead.
I had hoped that if HH were to start managing SS, that he might get the "hunger" again. Then he could possibly take over for Journey. Sadly, HH has said that it would be a lot of work to manage Journey and he is not up for it. Funny thing is, it does not appear that there IS a lot of work put into managing Journey, but there SHOULD be. Maybe that is what HH knows.
I would love Journey to change management, but that is for our own selfish reasons. Apparantly Barruck and Azoff Mgmt are doing just fine for Journey and what their goal seem to be.

I think Journey should go back to Herbie Herbert as manager.
They need some sort of promotion and exposure.
You can find the new music in the stores, However you never
see any kind of promotion. The stations around here only want to hear about the old stuff.
Would love to hear Place In Your Heart on the radio.

I guarantee you 28, if Neal and Jon, and Ross for that matter, have not tasted the success of the 80's as they have already done, they would want more exposure.
Problem is, they have tasted it, and prolly dont care anylonger. I feel for Augee and Deeno......they deserve a push from NEAL and JON, IMO...
