It´s 1981 and Rolie is still in the band!

Ok,let´s pretend that Gregg Rolie never would´ve left the band after the Captured live album and Cain would´ve continued playing with The Babys,we all know that Escape wouldn´t have been recorded but what sort of album would Journey have recorded instead in 1981?
I know Perry was looking for a change in the sound and was happy when Cain stepped in but what sort of change do you think they had taken with Rolie still in the band?
I still miss those duets between Rolie and Perry,god - Just the same way is one of my all time favorites!

Maybe they would've sounded like Rolie's later Journey-esque band 'The Storm'?

Definately hard to say. I am not sure there would have been a huge change as quick, but I think it would have still happened. TNC has the most likely scenario....Journey probably would have evolved into what the Storm sounded like. But I think it would have still taken 10 years or so.
