Is it REO

Could not find what post it was under, where we were talking about who Journey would be co-headlining with next year, could it be REO, found this on REO's sight this morning

Oh yeah, there are plans in the works for a big co-headline tour of amphitheaters this coming summer. I will let you know as soon as all the details are locked in. But I can say that it is an exciting package, with a band who played their first shows with us in St Louis back in 1976, and whom we have only played with one time since. I am such a tease...always have been, I can't help myself..........

I do not know if the one time after meant the Main Event Tour or just one show? Anyway-ERIC

Neal would blow Tom away. But I would like to see the tour. Tom is a good guitarist, but doesn't have the fire Neal does-ERIC

Journey proved this year that there is no need to tour with another band in the US. Why share the revenues unnecessarily. The only reason to tour with another band is the US is if the other band is one that will expose the band to new fans. TOTO is the band Journey should tour with in Europe as the evidently are huge there.

Neal would blow anyone away, imo. And I've seen Eddie VH, Joe Satriani, and Steve Vai live.

I agree and the reason I say Boston is that they are scheduled to do a 30th anniversary tour this coming year.

But REO is going to have a new album to tour behind.

REO would NOT co-headline with Journey..They would have to open...unless it's just a play on words..

Journey didn't play with REO in 76...
They played with them twice in 2001, and then on the ME tour..

It's NOT REO, IMO>

someone a lot bigger..

I am starting to lean towards Bon Jovi now.

Who in the Hell said Boston? Yeah, their legion of fans will fill maybe about 500 seats of the 10 grand...no fucking way.

I know this is my 4th consecutive post, BUT, I think I may know who it will be.

A currently "solo" singer from a previous successful band who broke up 2 yrs ago...

If it is a big act, then no, but I am starting to feel like it may be Scott Stapp.

He is always talking Journey these days..3 straight interviews..Hmm.

Only YOU are "NO ONE", Deano. Here's what I assume will be a shock to you, some people care about new music other then Journey.

Hey, I am just throwing out a possibility..I don't endorse it..

Besides, NOTHING kills Journey...The great Perry tried and failed..

The former controversial lead singer of the now defunct band, CREED. Actually the Creed rhythm section still exists, but under the name ALTER BRIDGE and their debut album is awesome, by the way.

Did some research.

Possible bands, who have schedule time for a tour:

Bon Jovi. Huge tour. Selling out huge arenas, multiple dates. Their tour ends in June However..??

Bryan Adams. Definitely sell seats

Def leppard. Calendar is open.

REO. Like Angie said, new cd to tour on..however, I wouldn't call it a CO Headlining tour.

Styx
. Please say it isn't so, Neal.

Boston
. see REO above.

Stapp
. All I am saying is, he loves Journey and has been influenced by them.

Now some wild cards. Bands who could cross over their fans with ours.

Van Halen
. This would be the biggest tour yet. Would rise the genre out of the coffin.

Sammy Hagar
. THIS makes too much sense.

Queen/Paul Rodgers
. Why not? Get the Euros onboard. Paul and Neal are tight.

ZZ Top. This would be cool. Get all the beer drinkin, sign shootin republicans onboard..they will at least like the SSB.

Long Shots...

Aerosmith. Probably not.

Eagles. Don't laugh, Irving might have multiples if his 2 big bands were able to lap it up on the same night. Doesn't make financial sense though.

Soul Sirkus...Fill in the Blank.

Dire Straits. Coming Back this year..at least in rumour.

Scott Stapp would not be a co-headliner.

Sammy is a great choice!

If it is a band than I htink the signs all do point to DL...

OMG. If Sammy goes on tour with Journey, and they do a few HSAS tunes, I will be in heaven. Then Sammy says, "Neal, let's get PlanetUS going again..."

I agree 28.

However, In the States, I think Journey should close all of the shows..They are bigger in N America, IMO.
