I'll take your word and not vote b/c I refuse to partake of all that pomp and circumstance pregame.
What WAS awful was the phantom offensive PI againste Darrel Jackson (IN THE ENDZONE!!!). Christ, just hand it to Da Stillas ( ).

I will NEVER ever complain about officiating but it sure looked like they wanted Pittsburgh didnt it?

I mean, it wasn't close.

Seattle TD taken away on a call that would not be made in basketball!

Seatttle first and goal on the 3 , NO! holding.

Seattle, numerous penalties that were somehow phantom.

This game should at least get the NFL to evaluate it's referring..

Hey, scoreboard NEVER lies, but I felt for Seattle. That was a road game and they NEVER had a chance

The National Anthem was just terrible!!

I was pulling for Pittsburgh, mainly because I just don't like Matt Hasselbeck. I mean really, unless my Redskins are in it, I don't care that much. Of course, I do usually pull for the underdog, but in this case, I just felt "The Bus" deserved it!

Yeah, that was definitely a bad call on the Seattle TD. It kind of sums up just how bad officiating has been this entire season. I think the officiating needs to be heavily evaluated in the off-season.....

of course getting a new CBA signed is top priority.....otherwise, it's going to be the league going back to the 80's when the same 4 or 5 teams rule the league and the rest are just terrible football teams. (Won't mind that as long as the Redskins are one of those 4 or 5 teams! )

Horrible NA. Aretha is a legend, but she should have at least cleared her throat. Aaron must have gotten some sort of ink poisoning when he tattooed his face!

As for the game...Seattle has a TD taken away on a bad call and Pitts get a TD on a bad call. The scoreboard should have read SEA 17 PITT 14

You guys should watch the news and read ESPN message boards.

They are rioting at Vegas casinos and Detroit due to the horrific calls.

I seriously think this game was rigged. O well, there is good porn on now anyway.

Ovreall, one of the worst SBs ever, from the National Anthem to the officiating to the game itself. Sure, it wasn't a blowout, but there were no "wow" moments, other than the gadget play for the TD. Both teams just looked tight and afraid to make a mistake. How bad does the NFC suck when the 6th best AFC team can beat the best NFC team like that?

I muted the national anthem as soon as I saw A.N.'s face.....I would MUCH rather listen to fingernails across a chalkboard  for 3 minutes then ANY song by that guy....

There was no doubt in my mind a hack job just this side of Roseanne Barr's version about to take place.

So a few quick questions.

How did Aretha get into the stadium? Did they hoist her in with a giant crane, then rebuild the stadium up around her?

Also, why did Aaron Neville glue a giant milk dud to his face? Get that thing off of there!

NIG, I thought it could have been a great game. Hasselback throws a 30 yd pass to the 2 yd line, only to have it come back for a phantom hold.
Next play, Hasselback throws a pick out of desperation.

How about the TD throw where Engram got his right foot down, and skinned the pylon which would have been 6?

How about the "push off" in the endzone, costing the hawks 4 points?

How about Rothlisberger getting 6 when he was short? Yeah, they prolly would have gone for it, but you never know if he would have made it.

Hell, they were going to rule a fumble on Hasselback too, but that was too obvious.

There was an agenda.

Go read mess boards everywhere. Even Stealer fans feel the game should have an asterisk.

Penn State proud. On the replay, even Michaels audibly went "OOoooooooo," and then did not follow it up. it's almost like he forgot the calls were SUPPOSED to go LowLifeBurg's way and caught himself.

His second foot came down out of bounds. You have to have both feet in before the "skimming the pylon". That was a rare good call.

But I agree - lots of bad calls against the Seahawks. Refs seemed very biased.

No no no.

The pylon counts as a foot down. I just read the rulebook at the doc's office

Hey, you're right:

A player will be ruled in bounds if he touches the pylon at the goal line before going out of bounds. For example, a pass would be considered complete if one foot touches the pylon and the other foot is in bounds.
