This should make you happy, Deano...

Bryan Adams is writing material for a new album. According to the Associated Press, the Canadian singer has already come up with 30 songs, but says he really only loves three of them. Adams said that it's important that he's completely happy with his work "The reason I started writing was because I enjoyed the creative process of creating something from nothing. I worked with some superb people over the years, and always the mission was to try and create something that we like. The idea of trying to appeal to somebody else is impossible. You gotta write music for yourself."

There's no word on when the album will be released.
Adams celebrated 25 years in the music business last fall with a two-disc collection called Anthology.
Adams recently performed in Pakistan to benefit victims of last October's earthquake.

He just released a DVD, "Live from Lisbon." Contrary to Journey, BA puts out something EVERY year.

Also, they finally are a 5 piece band again, so BA can drop the bass and play guitar once again.

I really believe this band will get into HOF. And to think they opened for Journey on the Frontiers tour.

Right now, I'd also say they are better than Journey.

With all due respect, Dean, who cares about the HOF?

Well, I brought that up intentionally, because I do think journey deserves to arrive there first before BA, but it now looks like it will never happen. They have been eligible for 8 yrs or so and haven't gotten a sniff. It isn't going to happen.

I agree, HOF is a joke.

With all due respect, Bryan Adams is barely a notch above the Euro-fags of the 80s, although not as good as John Waite, imo.

No problem NMT. I understand that's your opinion, but;

Adams was solid in the 80's with Straight from the Heart, Reckless(one of the best albums ever), and Waking Up the Neighbours.

I agree, he got a little too faggy with the "Have You really ever Loved a Woman" and the Streisand duet(but Journey got a little faggy too with ROR and/or TBF). However, he has returned to rock now, and no offence, but the Euro fags, as you correctly described them as, Duran Duran, Human Leaugue, Adam fucking Ant, and Jon Waite(IMO), are nowhere near his stature. Adams is IMO the best songwriter in music. As good as Cain and Perry were, and Springsteen, and U2, Adams has written so many songs for people from Celine Dion to 38 Special.

About that Reckless Album. I might put that one over Escape.

Run to You
One Night Love Affair
Heaven
Somebody
It's Only Love(with Tina Turner)
She's Only Happy When She's dancin'
Summer of 69
Kids Wanna Rock

Pretty tough to beat.

I appreciate your thoughts, I never got in to BA enough to appreciate his early albums as much as I might have, even with the success of Cuts Like a Knife....you left out the queer only thing that looks good on you is me or whatever that song was...I do disagree with including JW with Adam Ant, etc, though he did have a brief period of time when he looked like that crowd a bit.

NMT, my problem is I associate everything British as being Yellowishbrown chickletts, crossdressing Politicos, and gay music stars.

Canadians despise those smelly fuckers, and their gay, guy named clock.

PS- I loved that tune, "Everything Looks Good on You." That wasn't gay. He was saying he wanted to be her clothes, her shoes, her bathwater, just to get on her.

The gay tune you are thinking of was the duet with that Spice Girl Mel..."When You're Gone." Awful..However, he just re-did it with Pam Anderson; even worse, but I don't think dude was looking for a record hit...I think he was looking for another kind of hit. Remember, he is a professional photographer, and has shot Pam nude.

Of course.

However, "pals" like Rod Stewart, Rob Halford, Bowie, Freddie, you get the pic.

Clapton, Zeppelin Stones, all cool.

Just too many polesmokers to look past in UK.
