Schon guitar for sale
Posted: Wed Feb 22, 2006 1:15 amA couple of guitars owned and played by Neal Schon from Journey and Tom Johnston from the Doobie Brothers are now available. The Bananas musical instrument store in San Rafael, California, is selling five of Schon's electric guitars -- a Paul Reed Smith (PRS), two Fender Stratocasters, and two Gibson Les Paul prototypes that have special electronics -- as well as four of Johnston's PRS instruments, and a Les Paul from Journey keyboardist Jonathan Cain. Each comes with a certificate of authenticity, and all can be signed by the artist, but these guitars aren't for the casual fan -- they range in price from $2,999 for Cain's Les Paul, through $12,500 for Schon's PRS, while the Schon Les Paul prototypes and one of the Strats are each being auctioned to the highest bidder.
