Look. The only way Perry would ever sing with Journey again is if he's hurting for money. And from what herbie said that will never happen unless Perry suddenly gets generous.

Deano you know I love you, but I have to go with McNiece on this one. I think we're more likely to see the current incarnation of Journey have a top ten hit than see Perry reunite with Journey.

I think it's more likely that farm animals take to flight than Journey ever get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as well, so the idea that they'd get together for an induction ceremony isn't very likely either.

I believe Perry and Journey will share a stage and play a song or two together in the future.
(NOTE: I did not say tour.)
The unfortunate aspect of all this, is that it will come at the expense of someone's life.
Much like when Bill Graham died, I foresee Perry coming out and singing when Herbie finally goes to the great big management company in the sky.

Jon stated that Perry hopes that Journey would go away and he may be right. I think that if the new lineup, just faded away, Perry might pick up the pieces and give it a last harrah. There are quite a few scenarios as to how a Journey/Perry appearence might happen.

I don't see a "forever linked" between Neal's guitar and Perry's voice. Neal's guitar continues to create, while Perry, hmmmm.....
I dig the guitar, voice is secondary for me.

I definitely miss Steve Perry singing with Journey. Would absolutely LOVE to see them have one more concert together - for old times sake.

BUT, I have always believed that Neal's guitar playing is "the voice" of Journey.

Journey sans Neal = just a band. Pull Neal out, stick Perry back in and it will not be Journey. You may have the pipes, but (NealIsGod is correct)Neal Schon is absolutely the soul of Journey.

Steve Perry has stated several times that he will not sing with Journey. The stone is cracked, the goose is cooked, the divorce is final.

I'm glad they found Steve Augeri to continue the Journey.

"Forever linked" - historically speaking,of course.
Both the voice and the guitar contributed to the classic Journey sound.Together.
