2006 Tour

Postby stacy.26 » Sat Mar 25, 2006 12:09 pm

I have mixed feelings about this year's tour.

Steve's vocals have really been strained over the past few years and I wonder if he can make it through another tour.

I know Deen handles most of the high stuff, but Steve always sounds like he is trying too hard - it is not a "natural" sound - and that he is constantly hoarse.

I wouldn't mind Deen taking over lead for good if Steve couldn't continue. I like his voice better.

What are your thoughts?

I have always wanted to use this analogy.

Pull out before it's too late.

Your comments are obviously true. Augeri never could cover all the songs. Now as he is getting older it will be more so. You can bet that Deen will be singing more and more songs.

You know, I really hope Augeri has saved and invested most of the money he's made with Journey. I really do. Becuase he simply does not have it now.

But if I was him I'd probably make them fire me. That way he'd probably get some kinda money deal out of it.

Has there been serious talk of firing Augeri??? Just wondering.

No talk. But there are many here who realize that Steve is no longer fully capable.
