Looks like it is working, I am downloading now.

I was having some problems with the site, but that seems to be on my end.

you're welcome, dickless.

If you listen, you can hear Neal play a little diddy before the song starts. Sounds like Trial by Fire(song).

He also slaps his guitar for a percussion effect as well.

I'm not sure what it is but Perry has a certain something that audiences connect to. Even though his voice here is not good compared to his prime it's still good. If that makes any sense at all. The emotion he puts into this performance is really something.

This is what's missing now and what, if we are honest, we all want to see again.

I still see the magic up there during this show.

Although Perry stands far away from Neal, he does mention him in the song.

Thanks for posting this. It makes me sad to hear him plead with the audience to sing along but I enjoyed the song.

That was really beautiful. I actually like the slower version a lot and thought they all sound great there. The audience, however, was very lame.

Yeah, usually audiences at wakes are a lot more lively. :P

Plus this wasn't exactly a Journey crowd.

I love this kind of stuff, great intro, great feel to the song. Perry didn't seem as desparate in his pleading on the video as he did on the audio I'd heard before...Down a whole step, so I believe Herbie when he said Neal and Jonathan freaked out....But here's what really caught my attention:

Perry and that manic jaw snapping motion again!! I guess it is a nervous tick or something. He does the same thing he did in the Escape video during Lights, kind of snapping his jaw right before he starts singing again. Weird!

J-Bone, you're the singer, not me(even though I am better than Augeri), I think he is "getting in rythm.

What says you?

Jeremy I don't know what you mean about that jaw snapping, I was listening to the song and watching everyone around Perry to notice it. Maybe it's a technique to get a certain note out I don't know. Could it be? Enlighten me you are a professional after all.

Watch Perry right before he gets into the verse on the Graham video. He looks off to his right and snaps his jaw rapidly about 3-4 times. I am thinking more that what he is doing is stretching his jaws and neck muscles or something. It's almost like how someone with TMJ loosens up their jaw...

All I can say it was beautiful to see them together
The emotion was so thick you could cut it with a knife
You could feel the tension
I seem to recall that Steve may have forgotten some of the lyrics.
Afterall it had been a long time.

The jaw motion might be him cueing up for the first line.
I myself need the first line to get into the song.
Each line is dependent upon the other.

So nice to see him on stage even though it was a somber event.

Steve has such depth and class.
Did you notice how lovingly he placed that mike down at the end.
Positioning it just right.
You don't see that from many singers these days.
They toss it, drop it or throw it down.

To me that little touch was special
but I see too much and find meaning in the meaningless

Thanks Deano...I hope I didn't hold you back too much with my thoughts and emotion....

Keep repeating
"I think I can"
"I think I can"

Chooo choooo Deano!

:P

Thanks Jeremy I noticed it. You are right he is probably stretching his muscles.

The jaw snapping...There are a few reasons why that jaw movement occurs:nervous tick, like you said Jeremey, then drugs (cocaine) would do that, sinuses problems make some people snap their jaws or could be a dental problem, like if a dental appliance doesn't fit properly, the teeth don't naturally align when the mouth closes.
Oh,well.I would say it was a nervous tick.He had that in 1981 (we all saw it on the Houston dvd) and he had it in 1991 as well. That`s enough time to become a nervous tick.Could be because of somekind of a stage fright...In 1981 Steve was disturbed by MTV`s cameras. He said he was nervous. Then at BG tribute...well,it was Journey after a 4 year hiatus.I bet he was jittery.
I guess all singers have nervous ticks more or less visible.

Jesus Christ. Nervous Tick? It's Steve Freaking Perry! There was over 200,000 people there. He doesn't get nervous.

My God. I wish I could reach through the damned monitor and sock you in the chicletts.

28 knows. He's gay like that..Knows all the unimportant stuff. He is finishing up his paper route now. Should be back in about an hour, to change, before he hits his other job as a KFC cashier.

My box says open or save.
Try to open and right click on the file or open file and try to save it.
Seems you should be able to save it no matter what browser you use...

If you download and open it it still is in your computer but might be a temp file?
Sorry....maybe someone else might know

Good Luck

It almost always automatically goes to windows media or Real player.

Right click, save, open...look for it in WP, or RP.

I thought it was a very beautiful song; just a lot slower and more gentle than the way it's usually sung. Reverent. Which would make sense since Bill Graham had died and this was a tribute.

And, the jaw clicking; I just think it's something he does. Odd. But he does it alot.
